Stay away from Sharp

I bought a Sharp LED Roku TV - the picture went 11 months after I bought it. What is up with this? go for SONY instead, I also have a SONY that is 11 years old and everything is good with it. And for a real lousy experience, contact Sharp about the warranty - you get shuffled over to Geek Squad (US) the Geek Squad (Can). Best Buy needs a big improvement in their customer service!

There are no buttons on this TV!

Picture is okay but colors are not very bright. Images don’t really pop. Roku is nice but diddconnects a couple of times a week. Actually, the whole TV boots down by itself sometimes. Speakers are actually better than most i’ve heard from flat screens. I just can’t get over the fact that there are all these reviews and NOBODY mentions the fact that there are no buttons! AT LEAST provide a power button! Especially considering that thecroku app can do justvabout anything EXCEPT TURN THE TV ON! Lose the remote and you are screwed. You’ll need a universal... and program it BEFORE you lose the one that comes with this tv or it becomes a brick.

Water Based?

I forgot to mention this in the other review I just wrote, but my dad told me that this TV was "water based", whatever that term means lol. Basically, if you hit the screen it could ruin the entire TV and the screen will go black. If you buy this TV make sure you're careful with it. Honestly tho, you should be good for the most part. In my other review I wrote about how I dropped my TV and it still works fine. But still, make sure you're cautious with the screen. I would still recommend this TV. It is amazing.

Amazing Smart TV

I received this smart TV for Christmas 2016 and it is amazing. The picture quality is great, it is fast and doesn't lag. It has disconnected from the internet twice this year, but that isn't a big deal since I saved the password in it. I just have to hit the OK button when it disconnects. When I moved out, I dropped the TV and it still works fine. It only has a small scuff on the screen, but it is still like new. The only issue I could imagine someone having with this TV is if they have slower internet. If you do not have high quality or high speed internet, this TV probably isn't the best fit for you.

Stay away from this tv

Bought this tv in February of this year (8 months ago). The picture died and I have been on the phone with Best Buy and Sharp Canada. Best Buy won't fix it because I don't have the protection plan and Sharp is giving me the royal runaround. Will never shop at Best Buy again...

Bought this tv in February of this year, and it's already dead. Trying to contact Sharp. Also, Roku is garbage in Canada. Total waste of money >:O

Worked good for two weeks

I onky use this tv to watch netflix. Worked like a charm for two weeks and then it started to crash à few times a day. Picture and sound la great but I keep having to restart it because the image freezes while the sound keeps going.

Screen died after 1.5 years

I've never taken the time to write a bad review but felt the need to write this one. This TV was fantastic for the first year (right up until the manufacturer warranty was up) until a month ago when the screen completely went black. You are still able to hear the sound and when you go right up to the TV you can faintly see the picture. Very frustrating.

I only have this tv for 2 weeks and there are pros and cans on this tv. I'v chosen this tv over a Samsung because of the picture quality. The picture is crisp the colour is fantastic.i can't say anything about the sound cause i'm using a sound bar from my former TV. The set up is simple but i guess every tv is different so need to play a little. On my tv the set up for wifi was easy and fast, the internet is fast Netflix and all the other shows apps are running smooth, i think it comes down hove fast your internet speed is. My concern is there is no FRIKIN USER GUIDE FOR THIS TV, I HAVE SEARCHED ON GOOGLE FOR IT COULD NOT FOUND ONE FOR THIS MODEL LC-50LB481C, i tried to found help on Sharp website it comes out Sharp is owned by Hisense. My biggest and pretty much only problem that i cant get rid of the Sharp logo when i turn the tv on, first the logo comes up then it searches for HDMI then gives me picture. I have turned it of at setting but i guess it did not work.Over all i can say for the price this tv is worth it, i had a Sony Bravia prior to this, but to me the picture on this tv just as good as was on my Bravia.

Sharp 50" Smart TV

The TV itself is great. The delivery sucked so bad, you should not use Purolator for delivery as I got the run around and in the end had to pick up the TV myself. So much for delivery service, I had my mom wait at the apartment for 3 whole days for a TV that never got delivered.

Great picture quality for the price!

I was pleasantly surprised by the Sharp Roku. The picture quality is clear, and the tv itself is user friendly and intuitive. I would absolutely recommend this tv.

I received the TV and when I turn it on half of the screen was totally black, no pixels, no light, nothing. At least the return was efficient and Best Buy gave my money back.

User Guide Unavaliable

The TV itself is great but the site where you are supposed to find the User Guide, does not have it listed.Luckily its mostly self explanatory.

Bought for my Dad on 90th Birthday

Great TV. Picture is very good and ease of use, thankfully, good too. No problem hooking up once we got a HDMI cable. I guess they cannot include based on length required. Probably should ask thebuyer, Best Buy when someone is buying online. Would have made install much easier.

It's just ok

This tv is not so bad.i like it

Most videos from usb not supported

It has a usb port to play videos from usb. But most video formats are not supported by roku. You would pay to get a player which supports most videos. Better option is buying an android tv. Why would you buy a tv with usb port but do not support most video format?

Poor Sound

I purchased this to put in my bedroom so I could watch either from my bed, or while using my elliptical. The sound is okay if watching from bed, although my other TV in the living room is far clearer and certainly better variation in sound volume. There is little difference from low to high to very high volume and using it in conjunction with my elliptical is difficult. Wishing I had purchased a different TV.

Beware of non-standard wall mount

BEWARE: It seems wall mount is not standard on this tv., beware when purchasing a mount kit. Make sure it fits before installing it.

Sharp 50 inch smart tv

nice tv, easy to use with nice price, so far I did not saw any problem on my tv.

  • from Pickering, ON

Great features, great price, easy..easy set-up.

I was a little concerned about the performance of this Smart TV at first because of the price point. But once I got the one, got it home, set it up I went straight back to the store to buy a second one. Set up is a breeze. Picture quality is highly acceptable, even on sports (Baseball and golf have been my references so far). The Roku feature is very nice. Look up how much a stand alone one of those is and you'll see this unit has great value.

  • from Sarnia

Wouldn't recomend

Purchased, immediately smelled burning electronics on start up. 1 week later volume randomly changed, cut out. Took it back for a new one. The second TVs leds failed in 2 weeks and kept resetting every 2 min. Don't Buy! Get a good TV.

As good as $[price] get you.

After looking for TVs and all the deals, this one stood out. The picture is nice and crisp. Minimal bezel Roku is phenomenal and quick. Sound is crisp, not too much base but nice and clear. I am in love with this TV, I don't think there is another one that beats it.

  • from Toronto, ON

Not bad for the price you pay

It's actually really nice, I like the Roku built in feature. The remote is different and I like it. Quality is nice and no complaints at all
