- This Is A Very High Quality Item- December 29, 2016
I read a ton of reviews on this website, as I was looking to buy a DVD Player. This one is a Sony and it was just what I wanted for our Standard Definition TV (not HD). It has the replay A to B feature, as well as other good features that Sony puts into their DVD players. This was one of the cheapest models out there, from any brand, probably because most people are working with HD TV's, now. However, this has all I needed and more, yet is easy to set up and figure out. Have not had any problems with it in it's 1st week of use and don't think I will, as I've had Sony products before and am always delighted with their quality of merchandise.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- It's an Ok DVD player- June 1, 2019
PROS: I've had it for about a month and it is still working great. The design looks nice. It runs very quiet, especially compared to the Blu ray player I just returned. CONS: When I press the buttons on the top of the player to operate it (pressing just hard enough to make it work) the whole player lifts forward because of the way the front is shaped.... very weird design. Pressing the open button does not turn on the player (I know it sounds like I'm being picky but I am use to all other DVD players working this way)…. so you have press the power button.. wait for 3-5 seconds for the green light to come on and then press the open button to put in the DVD.No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Good Price, Good Product- February 13, 2017
I purchased this to replace a 15 year old Sony DVD player. The quality is still there, and the price was right. The overall performance of this DVD player is very good. I will admit that I purchased this so that my massive DVD collection didn't go to waste, and I'm not spending the money to convert most of them to digital. With the advent of digital services, it's only a matter of time that these will go the way of the VHS player. The saving grace is that DVD's have a longer useful life than tapes. I'm very happy with my purchase. If I get 15 years out of this Sony, like the one it replaced I will, indeed, be a happy man.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
