Sony HTCT800 350-Watt 2.1 Channel Bluetooth Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer
- Convenient features, great sound!
from Sault Sainte Marie, ON on February 1, 2019
The main reason I purchased this soundbar over others is because of all the features available. I ran a single HDMI cable up to my projector, so I can plug media (Chromecast, laptop, gaming console) into the soundbar on ground level instead of grabbing a ladder and plugging it into the roof-mounted projector each time. The sound quality and volume is very nice. I don't have anything to compare it to (it's the best audio device I've owned yet), but the sound fills up my roughly 20x15 sqft space with ease. Only complaint is Google Home integration. It works, however telling my Google Home Mini "set soundbar volume to 100%" will set the soundbar volume to 32, while the soundbar has a range from 0-50. 32 is nowhere near the maximum volume of the soundbar.
- Great Sound Bar

Great Sound Bar for the money. Plus you can connect upto 3 devices. Only drawback - Google Chromecast is ONLY Audio, NO Video play back. Besides that, really enjoying the sound.
- Fantastic sound

Super easy to set up with the HDMI arc, the different sound modes are excellent and the sub is also very good for the size, the Bluetooth feature worked really well, was able to pare my phone up with no issues, very smooth. Because of downsizing to a smaller condo I'm replacing a paradigm 5 speaker system which has a much larger sub and while it doesn't have the same quality sound I was still really blown away with just how close it came, I think if I add the two rear speakers it will be a match. Very impressed.

a bit expensive but totally worth the money. Can easily stand up with Bose. Let's see how long this thing last.
- Great sound and Value

I purchased this after returning a a YAS207 from Yamaha and the htct290. The HDMI inputs are great many other bars have none. All devices connect to the Bar and one HDMI to the tv. Very easy setup and the connectivity with Bluetooth and WiFi are awsome. It connects to all my devices phones tablets etc no problems at all. The WiFi even connected to my Nas drive and I could play music on my storage drive. The Spotify connect and Chromecast function flawlessly. The WiFi connection through Spotify is my favorite function great sound. Using Sony's music center app on my android phone works perfectly as well. The functionality of the remote can be replaced by your phone. The sub has plenty of thump I had read reviews that say that it is lacking I beg to differ I would venture to guess that they were using poor audio sources or have the settings improperly calibrated. So long as you buy this unit on sale you can't go wrong. The sound is great and connectivity is great. There are better sounding bars out there but not for this price and they don't have the options and HDMI pass through this unit has. You would have to double the price from other manufacturers and then the units I played with in stores were hit and miss for connectivity to certain devices. Also I spoke to a audio installer that informed me that he installs these units on a regular basis to replace LG and Samsung units that are problematic in quality and connectivity. He likes these because he can plug them in set them up and they work every time. Out of 60 units he had only one that was defective right out of the box. Good sound quality and connectivity and I believe it is the best value out there right now.
- Exceeded expectations

Have had for a couple of weeks now. Great sound, great switching between types of sound (movie, sports, music). Rich bass and enough power. I don't think my neighbours would want any more power. I integrated thru Sony TV thru HDMI #3 which is ARC. Works fine, although you have to be patient for everything to set up. Now adding a Harmony remote, that is still not on line yet. Perseverance and patience are my motto when it comes to technology.
