Very disappointing

I thought the cube shape was kind of distinctive, and the time display was no frills but functional. However the sound quality was terrible and the buttons were poorly designed. After a little over a year it broke. I don't recommend it.

Disappointing Alarm

The clock has some nice features but the buzzer alarm is barely audible and can't be adjusted.

  • from Victoria, BC

Always 3 minutes slow

As other reviewers have already noted: this device makes it difficult to manually set the time. The only reason owners of this shoddy piece of electronics know this is because the auto-time-set feature consistently runs exactly three minutes behind schedule! So you manually have to learn how to fix it, only to watch it creep back to its three minute lag comfort zone.

Fabulous design

I have more than 1 of these because they perfectly fit my needs. In the bathroom, I have no power when the light is off, but because of the internal clock battery, the time is correct when the light is switched on, which also switches on the clock radio.

Good morning 4am

Bought this clock 4months ago. Worked great and was easy to use. On the other hand now it has developed a bit of a problem. At ~4am it starts flashing numbers and beeping. The beeping eventually stops but then the alarm won't wake you in the morning. You can unplug it to reset its feeble brain but a few nights later it will act up again. Go for a higher quality clock

Its not a dream machine.

I miss my old Sony alarm clock. The Sony Dream Machine. This seems like a good replacement however. Its seem simpler. It is a bit quiet as stated on another review. I like the Orange display.

Great value

I bought this to replace my previous Dream Machine and after the various issues I had with that unit, decided to keep it simple. Biggest obstacle (and what I like most about this unit) is the size of the numbers for the clock. It's hard enough to open one's eyes in the middle of the night / morning and when you get older, "size" does matter. Easy to read, easy to use and also like the fact the alarm "buzzer" can be set to slowly increase the sound as opposed to pulling me off the ceiling when it goes off. Dimmer has 3 levels of brightness, would love one more (lower). Highly recommend it and would gladly buy it again. And for those of you that abuse your alarm clocks, it's cheap enough to replace...

Went into the garbage

Actually bought from Radio replace a Sony I have had for a decade or more. That was quality. This is shoddy. Poor and complicated controls. Battery back up didnt work, reception terrible. Took it back to seller who would not accept so I dumped it in the garbage outside their store and went back to the old Sony.

A very good product

I liked the alarm clock. The design, the colour are very attractive. The radio sounds good. But the sound of alarm is little low. It should have been louder. Overall the product is very good.

Okay while it lasted

I've owned my clock radio for about 3 years now and it has worked flawlessly since. Just recently it started beeping and sounding alarms on its own and the numbers are changing by itself. I have even tried unplugging it and re-starting, same issue.

decent but has a few flaws

I bought this model because it had no external antenna; my cats had chewed off the little wire one on my last clock radio. This one is easy to use and I have become used to the small buttons. I do find the display too bright at night even on the lowest setting and I have taped 4 layers of wax paper over it. I would prefer it to have digital tuning instead of an analog dial but you get what you pay for.

This radio has a terrible tuner. It worked great for the first month I owned it, now I can't get it to stay on any one station. Check it at night and hearing static in the morning. Don't waste your money.

  • from Toronto, ON

Good design, radio working good, I recomond worth to go for it.

Exactly what I was looking for and better

This is the perfect little alarm clock. Simple to use, great features radio sound is good for the morning routine. Time was set as soon as I plugged it in, has DST auto feature. If you are looking for an easy to use, affordable, nothing flashy alarm clock this is it. Note: real person writing this and I'm not paid by Best Buy or Sony. Happy Mornings :)

small, nice design, easy to operate

Like the title say's. And all that for a cheap price. Only down is the audio which could be better IMO.

Best clock radio I've ever owned. It's a cinch to set, check and reset the alarm. It's small and convenient, with 3 brightness settings. Takes up little space with nice long snooze bar. My wife and I have one for each of us. But don't get the white one....the displace isn't as bright. The Black is best.

Best FM/AM Alarm Clock

This is the best thing I ever brought. If you at the clock from a far view approximately 1 feet, you can still it. It is that bright. You can also change the light when you want. When the time changes, it will do it for you and you dont have to push a milllion buttons like the old ones. Overall, I highly recommend you to buy this. It may be expensive but its still worth it

Good dual alarm clock for the price

Works as it should, no complaints yet after 2 weeks.

  • from Scarborough, ON

practical alarm radio

Overall a good alarm clock radio. The 2 alarms is a good feature to have. Radio is good as long as you don't need to keep changing stations. In this case you will not like the fact that there is no presets to quickly call up your favourite stations. The tuning dial is not precise and you need to play with the tuner to tune in the desired station. The backup battery is a CR2032 button battery. I would of preferred a AA or AAA battery which is more commonly used and available. The Display is bright large and adjustable. DST function is a bonus but have not used it yet.

stylish clock radio

This clock radio looks great. I like that it has dual alarms and that you can turn each of them on or off separately. The radio is good. I got it on sale, so it's good value for the money.

Godd value for good alarm clock

I bought this for my daughter and she loves it immediately. Some people comment on the back light is too bright but my daughter found it otherwise. She uses it as night light. The radio receiving is clear and in excellent condition. The mirror on the face of the clock creates modern and sleek look.

Sony Alarm clock

After owning it for over a year I have yet to figure out how to set even the time. Really? Yes, it's a terrible design. About the only good thing is the dimming feature - except when in dim mode, it's totally unviewable during the day. Dont waste your money on this thing. I've have had other Sony alarm clocks that are so totally better than this -- what happened Sony?

  • from Ottawa, ON

Good alarm, bad radio

Quite a low quality radio, unstable tuning.

  • from Timmins, ON

Great Value

The clock/radio is nice and compact, easy to program. The sound is from a single speaker, but it's to wake you up and not provide party tunes. The only small drawback would be the gradual volume is only on the buzzer alarm, Not on the radio alarm, but the radio/alarm is very sufficient, it would be a great value.

Great Radio

Does what I wanted and sounds ok, good price.

  • from Mississauga, ON

Expected better

not all radio stations work. not very impressed

  • from Mississauga, ON

This has an analogue tuner that drifts and often goes off station. I live in Greater Toronto Area with many, many radio stations overlapping. Definitely need a digital tuner where I can find my stations easily and have them locked-in. Sound quality barely OK. Doesn't have a Nap setting. My old one did. I tried it for a week and had to return it.

  • from Dollard des Ormeaux, QC

Decent Audio

Our last two alarm clocks had trouble staying tuned to the station we chose to wake us up. This one has decent sound quality and stays on point to be sure that it wakes us up. Does what it's supposed to do for a reasonable price. Can't complain!

  • from London

Good product

This is a ver functional alrm clock. It is easy to operate and the day light savings feature is a bonus. The adjustable brightness works very well. I recommend this product.

  • from Calgary, AB

Very user friendly! Yay

I've only had this for a couple of days, but so far so good. It's so easy to set up and get going. I'm very happy.
