Cooking “en cocotte” may well be the easiest way to transform fresh ingredients into a tasty dish with a little French touch. Simply put the cocotte on your hob (even induction), heat some butter or vegetable oil and sear the meat for some minutes. Then add any vegetables you like, close the self-basting lid and put the cocotte in the oven. Now you have time to relax or talk to your guests while the cocotte does all the work for you. Once the meat is done, you can even use the cocotte to serve at the table and it will keep your food at the perfect temperature for a long time.
