Solidly built & attractive-looking mouse. Pricey for what you're getting.

This mouse has a premium look and feel. It's a little small for me, but this might be because of my grip (though I do have relatively small hands). Personally I prefer the feel of the Razer Deathadder Chroma. I expected color cycling for the lighting, but unfortunately this mouse only supports one color at a time (though you can still choose from 16.8M colors). It's also symmetrical so it's great for ambidextrous users. The custom bitmap on the bottom was cool at first but seems a little gimmicky, given that you won't see it unless you flip over the mouse. Overall, it has a good feel and glides amazingly well on the steelseries qck mini mousepad. The dpi range is also more than you'll ever need. The price might be a little steep for what you're getting.

Overpriced for the quality

I never thought I'd say it, but I actually feel that Razer's mice are better built and have better haptics. This Steel Series is nice and classic look, and good for left handers I suppose. But the clicking is thin and has a very plasticky feel. I liked the gloss finish, as it has a bit more friction, but overall I'm a bit disappointed considering it's more expensive than the Razer Deathadder Chroma. The DA has better far more accurate color changing, better software, and better egonomics. It's a shame, because I like the Sensei's unassuming, mature design. The software just isn't what it should be. Steel Series is apparently transitioning the Sensei to be compatible with v3.0. The current version, v2.0 is bloated (180 MB of ram for a mouse utility ?!?!) and doesn't offer accurate color changing or fine control. I've heard good things about the company, but it just hasn't met expectations, especially for [price]. Maybe I'll try them again at some point, but for the price I'll look elsewhere.

Great Mouse

I've had this mouse for at least a year now, and I've experienced no problems whatsoever. Nice smooth movements in all directions and has very good response time when playing today's games. Really nice fit in the palm of the hand as well maintaining good control. All in all, a great little mouse.

Gaming mouse

I bought this mouse thinking it would be good because of the high price ....however only 2 months in the mouse scroll wheel makes this high pitched squeek thats anoying to me and other people in the house and it's getting to the point that it's unusable .....also the buttons on the sides are very anooying as i accidently keep pressing them so i had to disable them all .....for the price i paidfor this mouse and and the sqeeking noise it already makes im very dispaointed.

Great mouse overall

Really nothing to complain about with this mouse, it has lived up to my expectations. I have used this mouse for about 1 year now and I haven't had any problems with it. For a ambidextrous mouse this is a good size, note that I do have smaller hands. I am a programmer so I am constantly using it on a daily basis. I thought the metallic finish on the mouse would rub off from constant clicking but that hasn't happened yet which is always good. The spring rate/rebound of the buttons have stayed constant, whereas on lower quality mice you'll find the left/right, which ever you use more, to become less springy overtime. Also the Steelseries Engine is very easy to use and requires little to no updating. Pros: - Extreme range of DPI/CPI form full arm movements to minute muscle twitches - Good weight comparable to a iPhone - The ability to use store your profile on it and use it to PnP - Customizable lights are a nice feature - Gold plate usb and a hefty braided cable - Steelseries Engine's ease of use vs. something like Synapse 2.0 Cons: (Pretty Subjective Things) - Wish the mouse feet pads would last longer (Note: I have a hard surface mousepad) - The side body buttons for the ring and pinky are positioned weird, but then again it's an ambidextrous mouse

Amazing mouse

Like this the title, this mouse is simply fantastic. It has all the settings I need, and more. I switched from my deathadder and i'm already used to the mouse. I don't miss a shot. Get this mouse.
