- Ok product- December 13, 2020
Tile mate 2020 White/Grey is ok. I like the concept of being able to use this gadget to find my accessories, but there are a couple things that need improvement. 1) you have to keep the tile app running in the background and that could drain batteries quicker than normal 2) the location on the map tends to be off more than I like. I used it one time to find my keys (which were right beside me) and the app had my car keys located 2 blocks behind me. 3) when pressing the tile to find my keys it can take more than 2 clicks and then I just start pushing until something happens. I have nothing to else to compare it to so I’m keeping the item for now.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- bumpy- April 26, 2020
I had to delete and re-download the tile mate app to get it to recognize my tiles that were in the house ( i was doing a practice run). When I double click on any of my tiles they do not ring my phone which is an extremely helpful action. I actually bought less expensive locators that worked great for several months and then stopped and would not work no matter what i did (delete and re-download app, re enter locators, replace all batteries. I really liked it when it worked and decided to purchase a different app with better reviews and a little more expensive and chose TILE MATE.) I will look for help to troubleshoot why it doesn't ring my phone.
- Definitely not suitable for cats- January 3, 2021
Was given this as a gift for a cat who loses his collar on a weekly basis. Tag is way too big for a cat and gets in the way of them eating, the square shape means they get poked by the corners, and if you triggered the alarm while they are wearing it, it would frighten the life out of them and cause them to panic. As a tag, it was easy to set up but seems to burn through the phone battery. So far it doesn't seem very accurate either but maybe that's because I've only tried it indoors or through windows so I'm not sure what else I will use it for. I suppose it could be useful if you dropped your keys in the middle of a field
