Ease of Use:

  • That's A Pricey Mop
    Reviewed by hitsuyoo - August 22, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this at the office and I really like that it communicates with you as far as needing to refill, clean or charge the machine. It's not as heavy as you would think, for such a tech heavy device. It has some serious pull, when it's on , so it will literally scrub the floors by itself, if not for thr need for a guide to turn it. That's where you come in. It does become a little annoying when the voice starts nagging you to clean it. But at least it wants you to take care of it. A little note though. Clean the area you plan to use this on thoroughly before using it for the first time. Not doing so, will make for a long day. And a lot of solution being used. When it finds a particularly dirty spot, the blue ring will turn red until it has cleaned that area to it's satisfaction. That flipping cool. But as I said before, if your floor is dirty, that ring's gonna be red a long time. Meaning you'll be emptying, cleaning and refilling the tank all day. All and all, it's a really awesome piece cleaning tech for small apartments or offices. But it is an awfully lot of money to spend on what, for all intents and purposes, is still a mop. As much as I would love to, I can't in good conscience, recommend this to anyone. That's a $500 mop.

  • Cleaned up a tile floor with ease!
    Reviewed by Samrio - August 28, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Vacuums are readily available devices, that come in various sizes for most any use, even for vacuuming hard floors. However, the Tineco Hard Floor Washer One S5 is easily one of the best hard floor “washers” I’ve ever used. In the box you’ll find the S5, a handle, a spare filter, a cleaning brush, a floor stand with accessory attachment holders, deodorizing solution, and the manuals. While this may look a bit overwhelming when unboxing, the only real assembly required is pushing the handle into place with an audible click heard and installing the accessory attachments and the charger to the floor stand. There is already a filter and a roller pre-installed in the unit, and the extras are included when you need to swap them for cleaning. Overall, the assembly was straightforward, and the box flap has an illustrated quick setup guide if you don’t want to dig through the manual. I was surprised to find that the unit has a voice guide, which calls out when the power is on, when the unit is placed on the charger to indicate charging, and even goes as far as to tell you when it’s time to self-clean or empty the dirty water bin. Charging the unit is as easy as placing it on the floor stand, which as some power charging pads that slide into place as the unit is placed on it. There is a bright display panel on the top of the unit which provides basic information, including the charge level and the current cleaning setting. While the voice prompt is loud, it can be drowned out when using the S5 on the max setting, making it difficult to make out what the prompt is trying to tell you. The handle only has three buttons, with the very top of the handle having the self-clean button. This can only be toggled on when the unit is on the charging base, and there must be water in the freshwater bin to start. The self-clean only takes a few minutes, at which time you’ll see the S5 turn on the rollers and apply water and suction to capture any debris left over on the roller. The self-clean does a great job of removing dirt, but you’ll need to remove the roller cover every once in a while, to remove any rolled up hair or debris that gets stuck. Unlike most vacuums, the roller is easily removed for additional cleaning or replacement with the spare roller during longer cleaning sessions. Some things to keep in mind, this doesn’t hold hot water in the tank, and only requires warm tap water to use. The manual states that water shouldn’t be hotter than 140 degrees F, which should be OK for most household taps when set to warm. Surprisingly, there is an App that can be installed on iOS, which allows the unit to be connected to WiFi, providing access to a Log where you can view cleaning time, and make setting adjustments to the volume or language spoken by the S5. You can also install any new firmware and view the current status of the S5; including the current charge level and a “self-cleaning” button to start it remotely. Using the S5 on tile was a real treat and was performed only after I’d already swept and mopped the floor a couple of hours before. I was surprised at the ease of use, simply needing to hit the power button and allowing the S5 to run automatically, and it immediately began dispensing a light coat of water. This did a wonderful job picking up any loose dirt or debris, leaving my floors spotless when complete. The dirty water bin has to be emptied when about halfway full and does a great job of keeping debris from entering the filter housing. The included filter has a mesh door which can be swung open when removed from the bin and rinsed out for later use. The floor stand trays keep the roller and spare filter stored when not in use, and act as a bit of drying rack after rinsing and storing. I never expected to love an appliance as much as I love this one. While the price is higher than most floor cleaners, its amazing to see just how well this handled my tile, even cleaning out the grout lines. Having 3 dogs, this worked well picking up loose grass and dirt all over the floors, even after sweeping and mopping prior. The Tineco Hard Floor Washer easily gets a seal of approval in my home, and I’m sure it will at yours.

  • Great 2 in 1 vacuum and wet mopping
    Reviewed by PhillipB - August 20, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Killing 2 birds with 1 stone is always nice. Being able to mop and vacuum simultaneously is a plus... Handling is good. Run time is good. Combo auto and full power mode it lasted 30 mins Dirt removal is awesome. See photos. Edge cleaning is great. Gets under cabinets nicely. Lightweight. Easy to clean, rinse, and dry. Easy to fill. Water reservoir. Took about 6 hours to fully charge out of the box. I tried to clean a high traffic area to where it would remove old build up and it did not do that as much as I wanted, BUT it did a pretty good job of removing a heck of a lot of dirt. I used on both sealed wood floors and tile and it all did well. The dirt sensor was a little laggy. That was the only thing I could ding this unit on. Other than that. No complaints.

  • A real replacement for the traditional mop
    Reviewed by Benb - August 23, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The question is, does this work better than my vacuum and mop. Hand mops are just inconvenient, I pretty much hate them. We have a robot mop, and it does the job alright, but it doesn’t get large puddles and it doesn’t get extra dirty spots. So, the hand mop comes back out every couple of weeks and it’s just annoying. Enter this. A vacuum/mop combo that is specifically for hard floors and nothing more. But because of that it is really good at its job. My wife is finally as happy with one of my electronic mop things as the old mop and bucket and that is saying a lot as she is infinitely more picky than I am when it comes to cleanliness. Battery life: I was able to complete our main floor which is about 1100sqft in one go and it had about 29% left. The next time it had closer to 40%. The difference between those is that the first time around I had to empty the dirty water container 3 times and fill up the clean water container 3 times as it was turning red a ton. Usability: Talking about turning red. When you first turn it on, it will start in auto mode and expect the water to have the included floor cleaner. Auto mode adjusts how much water and how hard it is vacuuming; this is one of the few times I have been extremely happy with how well auto mode worked. The way you know how hard it is working is the LED ring around the control center, it goes from blue to red and our floor the first time spent a lot of time on red. After I was all done, I put the mop on its included charging/storage piece and hit the self-clean button. It spun the mop head with water and sucked it all back up. I absolutely love the self-clean filter. Sadly, this self-cleaning doesn’t include the dirty water container. That I dumped out as well as the remaining clean water and then rinsed out the dirty water container and called it a day. App: The app is nice and might be most useful for seeing the pre filter life. But this isn’t a robot mop and the visual audible feedback on the vacuum is good enough that I don’t feel like this app is absolutely necessary. Overall, I love this mop; it cleans the floor extremely well, I don’t have to vacuum beforehand, and it is just more convenient than a traditional mop. Pros: • Self-Cleans its own mop head • Auto function works well • Picks up old really stuck on sticky stuff • Vacuums and mops at the same time • Battery powered • Charging housing is really nice • Feedback during mopping is clear and instantaneous Cons: • Dirty and clean water housings are on the small side. • No cord management

  • Great floor cleaner for all hard floors
Verified BuyerReviewed by Fitchik - January 9, 2022

Absolutely love it .. wish I would’ve known about it sooner .. I’ve been buying and replacing the Hoover tile cleaner because I felt it did an ok job and satisfied .. my husband bought this for me because I’ve been researching tineco for the past 6 months because it is expensive for a cleaner .. we have Travertine tile and wow I’m impressed .. The only thing I wish the company would offer is the roller that has the scrub bissell vs 2 soft brushes .. we ordered the other brush which is not to expensive .. it talks to you .. let’s you know if an area is really dirty so you can concentrate on that area cleaning (always been most trafficked areas we usually walk over every single day).. tells you when to clean brush which self cleans / when it needs to be charged / add more water solution / empty and clean dirty water reservoir .. highly recommend
