This TV is alsome. But it shuts down after about 5 min and reboots its self everytime you turn it on.

  • from Gatineau, QC

Very good

Excellent sound but you need a phone or tablet to use as a clicker for Chromecast

  • from Toronto

WTAF!?! Why can't I disable CHROMECAST

Everytime i turn on the TV it defaults to CS and I have to manually bypass and change the input - who's brainfart was this? I've always been happy with Toshiba but this is disastrous. Taking it back!!!

  • from Verdun, QC

Okay at best

Positives: The picture is excellent. The sound is amazing- it surprised me how good the sound is! Negatives: The remote is barely that. There are no numbers on the remote. You need to control it from a phone or tablet. Setting up the TV is long and tiresome since I rarely works... then randomly reverts to requiring setup. Chromecast barely works. I used to love casting to my old Samsung TV. The mobile app for the TV won't let me actually turn it on- I can only turn it off. Overall: I'd say it's more of a large computer monitor than a TV. I would buy a different set.

perfectly great!

I love this TV!

The Picture is Amazing! The Sound is even better! The Chromecast won't work but I haven't given up yet :( But This is the loudest brightest tv I have ever owned.

half screen turned white ! very cheaply made ! Do not buy this TV !

I returned this TV. It is very cheaply made and breaks easily. I had the TV for one day and half the screen turned solid white. I did some research online and discovered that is this a common problem with this TV as it is very fragile. If you squeeze the edges of the screen the picture might return to normal. Very disappointed so I returned it .

Well, well

This set is replacing a 3 yr old LG that went belly up. Since when do tvs only last 3 yrs?! Had for 1 month so far, and here's the lowdown. The most important feature for me is console gaming performance and for those who may have concerns, this tv is a beauty with a next gen console attached to it. It puts my LG to shame and the image even feels crisper, which leads me to believe this set has a really decent upscale processor. Just don't forget to set the picture on game mode. The cable performance is decent but not amazing and you can tell Toshiba struggles a bit with on screen motion, unlike more expansive brands like samsung or sony. Lastly, and I hate ending this review on a sour note (because i love this tv so much), but today the remote stopped working and the on/off button on the set didnt respond, the image was fine though. I was afraid that was that. After a hard reset (wire) the tv booted normally and the remote worked just fine. Seemed like a glitch but I didn't like it. I hope it's one time thing but modern tvs are really not meant to last anymore.

An excellent TV

And no, it doesn't have "Bluetooth capabilities", and anyone who says "it doesn't work" and gives this product a low rating because of it is an idiot who doesn't know how to follow instructions. When you first turn on the TV it literally tells you to go to a website to download an app that will walk you through how to enable and use cast. Cast allows you to stream videos from your mobile devices. Smh learn how to follow instructions and read your manuals. But, anyway. A good TV. Love the crisp image and the powerful sound. ♥

  • from Toronto, ON

Nice display

It was easy to install. The image is crisp. It was an investment for which I hope it can last as long as the tv it replaces. At any rate, I am happy with this tv. The 4K has proven to be working just fine. It is nice to discover many more possibilities with this technology. Thank you!

Good for the money, lacks features

Bought this from BestBuy in store while on sale about six months ago. So far, so good, somewhat... Firstly, the positives. Great picture quality, and quite good sound for such a slim TV. Contemplated buying a sound bar, but ended up not really needing for the smaller room we use it in (our bedroom). It is branded as a smart TV, but really only has a built in chromecast, so you have to be able to cast to the TV, it does not connect directly with a browser or apps. It is also fairly easy to setup for even the most primitive human being. So it has all this going for it. Also, it is LED, and draws far less power than previous model Toshiba that it replaced (approx 10 years old). Now for a few downsides. The lack of features and customization. The remote, if you could call it that, merely changes volume, channels and inputs as well as power on or off. The reason this is somewhat annoying is that you cannot manually input channels. Fair enough that most breakout boxes for cable have their own remote for this purpose. Another thing is that the TV itself has no volume or channel or input button. Just a power button that can change input if you press again. Though the TV is 4k capable, getting a 4k signal through wifi is rather difficult. The video customization options are not very plentiful, with just lighting, brightness etc, there are no real fine tuning options. Also, I don't believe there are 4k upscaling capabilities built into the TV itself. Overall, I give it 4 stars as it does what it is supposed to do, and does it well. Picture looks better, even on HD signal than my more expensive Sony 52" 1080p TV.

Not user friendly

I had trouble right from the beginning. First the TV would shut off for a few seconds and then reboot itself. After unplugging and plugging it back in it seemed to be ok but then it started to try and reboot itself even though the TV was off!! I returned it after only a week.

Good TV

Bonne télé. Le pied biped est solide et stable. Les bords sont plutôt mince avec 1.5cm. 3 prises HDMI. Il faut monter les pieds, mais c'est facile. Je l'ai installer seul.

Amazing Tv

I am so happy with this tv. It has an amazingly clear picture and clear loud speakers. Great size, great price. Best buy never fails to help me find products to suit my needs!

Excellent Picture and sound quality... I'm loving 4K and DTS sound. Google cast makes it the best.

  • from Vernon

Great picture and sound.. but you neeeed to use your phone or tablet as a remote and only use google chromecast.. which really limits what you can do, was looking for a smart tv but this is barely that. Will be returning tonight

  • from Ottawa, ON

Great TV.

So ive seen some of the reviews here being negative because they dont like that they have to use their phone to stream and use the smart qualities of the TV. This i think is ridiculous. Were in 2017 now and if you dont have a smart phone you are ridiculous. And if you really dont want to use your phone, get a system or streaming device like an Apple TV or PS4. The Picture quality is great for both TV and Video Games. The sound is sometimes iffy, but that is a minor quip.

The Sale Price Won, The Cast Feature Lost!

The day we bought it the sale plus adding a Roku box for true "in TV" smart features (Netflix) was slightly cheaper than any comparable smart tv's on the floor but none were 4k. So the purchase happened knowing we'd need to use another remote (Roku) to control when using Netflix. Some of us balk at remotes like me but incase it's not clear after reading these reviews you need to use your cell phone, tablet or computer to view any app such as Netflix on this tv! Yup it's true and why anyone would want to do this rather than having it built in must have rocks in their head! Control freaks, sociopaths I can't speak for cough cough... Regardless because at this second you think you need 4k and a slightly larger screen than most competition with a very low price then go for it and also grab a Roku device... Done. About the picture quality and brightness... Amazing!

Still looking for...

.... the bluetooth.... ????

This tv doesn't exist in the toshiba website and no support available. After 6 months of use, screen is not working. It's a good tv but it didn't last long.

There is no way to turn off the WiFi. So WiFi will keeps broadcast everyday. Not good for people in front of TV. Chromecast has choppy audio issue when cast from computer.

Excellent TV and value

This is a great 4K TV for the price. Sure, there is no Bluetooth even though the site here says there is for some reason, but the picture quality is excellent on anything from the news to HD rips of Planet Earth II, and Google Cast is quite handy for those without a PS4 or streaming device for watching YouTube videos, etc. I haven't tried out the true 4K capability yet, as I don't own any BluRay. My only real complaint is there is no RCA output, which means that you can't connect a stereo receiver unless you have a one that has HDMI or optic inputs. This was kind of disappointing given that the TV's speakers are awful (as most of them usually are) even though they hype them up in the description. Thankfully the work-around I discovered was to use a 3.5mm to RCA cable which is plugged into the headphone jack on the TV and then into the receiver. A bit odd and annoying that it has to be done in this way, but the sound quality for my Polk bookshelf speakers is fine.

Love ❤️ this tv

Great picture qualitie and sound, very easy to set up, I would give this product a 5 star rating.... however it is not exactly as described. The specs for this tv indicate that this tv has blue tooth technology. This is true, but it's only use is to connect the built chrome cast to ur tablet, phone or iPad. The blue tooth dosent connect to any other device. Over all though. This still was a great buy, and I am happy to have it :-)

  • from Montréal, QC

Great product

for the price, the simplicity of use and the image / sound quality! Google cast is a very useful feature, haven't even had to plug in an hdmi to watch content yet! great buy

Great TV and great price

Compared to other TV's with the same features, this TV is excellent. Love the built in Chromecast and ended up buying a second TV.

  • from Revelstoke BC

Fantastic tv

Beautiful picture. Super slick. Very light. Did not buy for Google Cast feature but am pleasently surprised by the feature.

  • from Ottawa, ON

One of the best

That tv has very nice picture specially when playing games i like it and all my kids and there friends

  • from Mississauga

Great Quality for a reasonable price

Have to say wasn't expecting to get a 4K TV of this quality within this price range. The TV offers great colour contrast and is relatively simple to use with the google cast app. It doesn't offer the same colour depth as Samsung or Sony counter parts but it doesn't carry the same price tag either to be fair. All in all it's probally the best 4K you can get in this price range!

  • from Pickering, ON

Very Pleased

I'm very pleased with the quality of this TV. It up-scales HD to provide a crisp picture. There is very good depth in color and contrast. I don't agree that the TV is "Smart" by the general definition. A real smart TV requires the Android TV O/S, not streaming through a phone or tablet. Overall though, I bought this TV to watch TV, and it does tis very well.

  • from B.C.

Smart tv?

Don't buy this tv thinking you are getting something that you can use Netflix with easily. You have to use google cast through your phone. No apps on the unit. The whole reason I bought this "smart" tv was to avoid buying a second Apple TV or a blue ray player with all the apps on it. The picture and sound are great no complaints there, but a misleading label of smart tv when it doesn't operate like one isn't very cool.

  • from Montreal

Good balance

Nice TV - good wifi connection, decent display and sound quality for the price.

  • from Morden, MB

Not User Friendly!

Can only be run through a Device, like a cell phone or tablet. Picture was clear, but when watching sports the screen shrunk to approximately 36 inches??? Not fun for anyone over the age of 10

i love it i purchased it 6 months ago its great

Great TV!

I just bought this TV on sale. The biggest feature for me was the built-in Google Cast (Chrome Cast). Having this integrated makes streaming so much easier. Still fine tuning the picture, but so far absolutely delighted with this purchase.

Excellent TV

I have purchased this last week for my brother. The quality is superb! No overheated symptoms like SamSung. I switched to Toshiba!

  • from Burnaby, BC

Absolutely Love it

With the 43" D-LED backlit screen with LCD display technology, it gives a stunning quality picture and awesome resolution for games.

  • from Ajax, ON

great tv

really nice clear 4ktv just make sure if you're using it for 4k gaming, please remember to connect the tv hdmi cable directly to your PS4 or xbox one s console to get the full 4k by using the remote going to options and selecting HDMI INPUT MODE 2! dont use and external AV boxes in between the xbox one s or ps4 pro console and the TV!

  • from Calgary, AB

love it

no complains

  • from West Vancouver, BC

Overall quite pleased

I purchased the TV as a replacement for an older 40" unit that was dying. Overall, the picture quality is excellent. In regards to a previous review, I also did not find a Bluetooth setup menu item but when I went to use the Chromecast with my iPad, the Bluetooth connection to the TV worked for the setup. It seems that is the only Bluetooth function that is mentioned in the manual which did take a minute to locate using Google.

Toshiba 43" 4K Ultra HD LED TV (43L621U)

Really nice!!

  • from Nelson, BC

Great 4K! Great deal.

At first I got a defective piece but after replacement which took as little as 4 days because I didn't have Best Buy in my town. Now it's been almost 15 days I've been using this tv the service from bestbuy was amazing and the tv is a charm for its price. The sounds is impressively loud and the picture quality is really good. Perfect for watching Netflix and sports. I also use it for gaming purpose with my PS4 it has no lag at all. Also answering Evans Review: Bluetooth in TV is used solely to find your phone to pair it after which you can cast things on television. You must have an app called "Google Home" which would allow you to set up your cast. Great tv, great 4K amazing service from Best Buy and geek squad.

  • from Thorold, ON

Sorry i just saw the ridiculous one star review of the dude who somehow cant figure out how to work a simple tv, its called google, use it instead of complaining to other people to do it for you. Im probably going to buy this T.V

  • from Montreal Quebec

Great TV for a great price.

To Evan.... I've spent 5 sec on google and found the manual o.o Copy/paste this on Google : Toshiba-43L621U_15-0970_WEB_V1_EN_Final_lr.pdf It's not clear if the TV support bluetooh, it only seem to be used to setup the integrated Chromecast device See manual page 49

Dear Best Buy, I was considering buy this item, or another one from your store. However, I'm having second thoughts about both ideas considering your lack of response to what appears to be a legitimate customer query made as far back as August!
