Easy to set up via hard wire, wirelessly, or by app. Fast speeds as promised and able to tweak the security settings depending on your level of paranoia. Only reason for 4 stars, according to the manual, you have to physically rip apart your modem and remove the back up battery. Like any router setup, this is never needed as you don't even need to turn off your modem before installation.

    Report

  • Great for wireless.
    Reviewed by Teamwaffle - July 30, 2021

I have this router in our mountain cabin and it's been wonderful. It doesn't have very many features, but the wireless part (which is all I cared about) is top notch. I'm only using it as a wireless access point and using my ISP Provided router for the actual routing part. I'm able to pick up a strong signal in and outside of the cabin with no problem. So far, it's been stable. As we rent the place out, I'm not able to unplug it plug it back in when there are issues. No problems so far. I like that the size is small, so I can tuck it behind a cabinet.

Got this router in sale for $70, and it's fantastic value at that price point. It covers my 3-storey townhouse quite well and it relays my 300Mbps internet reliably on the 5GHz band. Set up was very easy.

  • Worse router ever!!

This router is a piece of crap! I keeps on losing connection all the time! I try to speak with live chat support but I guess there is a time limit with live support cause after like 10 minutes of trying to fix my router they stop responding!! Worse company ever! Stay away!

  • Upgraded from an Old Router. Easy!

Installation was seamless. Came with a neat card from TP-Link that has the default signals and passwords if you're just trying to set up and go. Range covers my whole apartment and almost makes up for my iPhone 6's poor wifi receiver.
