- Ground-and-pound overhaul puts you in control of inflicting significant damage (or defending against it) through striker tools such as aiming and picking your spots, and defender tools such as head movement and well-timed counter transitions
- Controlled striking mechanics let you strike with speed by tapping the button or execute slower, more damaging blows by holding it down
- Grapple assist and intuitive controls help facilitate the ground game
- Submission phase triggers one of two mini-games depending on your position; you can also now strike from the submission phase, attempt to escape, or transition to accelerate the finish

I was eagerly anticipating the release of this game, hoping for improved gameplay and graphics. Sadly neither was the case with this game the controls a very clunky and the punches and kicks thrown are very robotic like and unnatural. I previously owned UFC 2 and skipped 3. This game feels like a huge step back compared to UFC 2. I was bored in the first two hours, and sold it to get some of my money back before this hits the bargain bin. Hard pass on this one.

Report - Different but same- October 24, 2020
It’s not as bad as it’s being made out to be. It’s an overhaul of sorts. Some elements are better and most are just the same. I don’t find the movements clunky, actually I find it more realistic. Controls are more fluid if you can make sense of them. Could be a learning curve. Graphics, sound, roster is great. It’s decent for sure. Not worth 80, I would say a solid 60.
