What's an "unlocked phone?"

Purchasing an unlocked handset gives you more handset options to choose from and more flexibility as to where you use it. Because an unlocked handset isn't tied to a particular service provider, it can be used with any service provider in the world that operates on a SIM card-based GSM network. Simply place an activated SIM card in the handset and you'll enjoy the same or similar service. Some premium features may not be available. SIM card sold separately. I have had three zenphones in the past and they have been great phones. They have the dual Sim which allows me to only carry one phone. I had to replace my Zenphone 3 because it fell into a bucket of oil. I bought the Max and I cannot express how disappointed I am. I would call it unreliable and riddled with quirks. I am planning to have an accident with this one so I can replace it

Could be worse I suppose

The camera is very disappointing.

Major connectivity issues

Bluetooth will connect and allow playing of songs but no audio is actually playing.. Have to shut it off, shut off the bluetooth device, and try multiple times on both ends before it will play. Wi-Fi continually disconnects at several locations I frequent, and will not reconnect - it repeatedly attempts and fails. 4G simply does not work. It will not connect, forcing HSPA+ mode instead in order to be able to use the phone at all. The value for specs and other features of the phone are irrelevant considering the fact that core functions are unreliable and poorly perform. As a prior Zenfone owner who has loved each one, this is an exception.

Good phone for the price. But... Glass that covers cameras are incredibly fragile. Mine shattered after a couple of months. Network drops ALOT on lte or 3g. Camera is weak but not too bad if you go manual mode. [pro mode] Everything else is fine. Mediatek processor isn't as bad as I expected.

Camera, it is pretty bad

One thing: don't buy this phone if you want to use it to take pictures. Everything else is Ok. It also doesn't have buttons, which makes using some apps really annoying some times!

Great phone, excellent price

I using this phone for home, accounting business and hobby, battery life is beautiful, I'm watching videos, running my accounting programs, play games, listen music, radio and mp3 and also when I get home after 13 hours outside I got 25% battery on my phone, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM plus 100 GB free in the cloud for one year, for me the camera is good, you have to know about pictures for use this kind of camera programs, isn't easy to use but its great, This phone is perfect for small business, students and hobbies, fast charged is around 2 or 3 hours full charged, stand by I can tell is around 3 weeks, couples calls and that's all, the phone is really fast, videos quality is good, on time its depend what do you want what do you need for smartphones, some people works with IOS someone works with android and google. If you have any question let me know, you can ask me in Spanish too.

great phone great price

I've had many mobile phones and so far this phone is excellent. Yes the camera isn't the best but It serves its purpose. Everything needs justification and if you need the best camera to take a picture of your food or for selfies then you have bigger issuers. Its a perfect phone for the price, and no contracts. Android 7.0 , its fast, it works and that's the most important thing.

Very good budget phone

This is a mid-priced phone, it's not going to fold space and time, but if you use it for work you'll be impressed by it's battery life, and it's surprisingly quick despite its lackluster specifications. Pros: -Battery life (Can also charge other phones/Reverse charging) -Quick/responsive -Dual Nano SIM (Combine your work and home numbers into one phone) Cons -The Camera is TERRIBLE Maybe that's a little harsh, in sunlight it's decent, but under low light it's really bad. Do not buy this phone if you use your cell primarily for its camera.
