- Wouldn't Buy Again- May 4, 2020
These are extremely touchy to get the machine to auto-recognize they are indeed connected correctly. I figured out if you place the cups on the blender, then make an additional tight turn, they connect. Unfortunately, I'm still unsure how to best use these because what I purchased them for, smaller batches of homemade nut butter, simply do not work well because you cannot "tap down" or get it to fully mix (ie. use of the tamper in the larger blender). I tried to make guac as well, and that didn't mix well either. I wish I would have continued the return process when I could. Unfortuantely, I'm not finding these useful in the least.
- Better in theory than in practice- December 24, 2018
These bowls function as described. I have a brand new Ascent 3500 and have not had any trouble getting the blender to recognize the containers. A small container is exactly what I wanted—the problem is they are too small. The 1 cup size is perfect in theory, but in practice your yield for 1 cup of ingredients is often barely a half cup, maybe even less. A 16 oz container to yield 1 cup finished would probably be perfect. I know there is the 20 oz smoothie cup, but I don’t want a nut butter down in the narrow part of that container. Hopefully Vitamix will make a larger small-cup option. If so, I’ll be first in line to buy!
- Disappointed- May 7, 2020
These were so bad, I had to return them and find another brand for my food processing needs. Every time I tried to use these, they were useless. If I screwed the blade onto the container too tightly, the blender wouldn’t sense it. I had to loosen it to the point where it was barely unsealed. Then to get the blender to recognize that, I had to keep taking it out, turning it, putting back in, repeat. I would turn the blender on, hold it still to give it some sort of securing, and of course with it being unsealed, the food would start leaking everywhere. I tried it several times before just sending it back to get a refund.
