This monitor is crap. The picture is grainy. It’s hard to mount so that you can see baby appropriately. I have used it at my camper and it def. does not have 1000 foot range. I can barely get few hundred feet. Not that I want to go far from my baby but I can barely get to next camp site. Lastly and most upsetting is the poor battery on the parent unit. I can’t get a night out of it and I turn the screen off. Last night was my baby’s first night in her crib. When I went to bed the battery was full. I woke up at 5am and the parent unit was off because the battery died. No warning nothing just dead. So I dunno how long it was dead. I was so upset because I was afraid I missed responding to my baby if she cried out. Now her room is next to us and I’m sure we would have heard her if she was crying out but still very upsetting and now I have zero trust in the monitor. So basically money was thrown down the drain with this monitor. I highly reccomend to not east your money on this monitor.

  • Terrible battery

We purchased this monitor just before our baby was born in February 2019, we have only used it consistently the past 3 weeks as we just moved him into his own room. The battery life on the parent unit is horrible, doesn't even last through the night. Today, go to turn it on, dead, plug it in, never turned on anymore even after charging for awhile. Looks like the battery is hooped. Called BestBuy to see if they would exchange it, nope because its past the return policy. Checked on the Vtech warranty, they only guarantee the battery for 3 months. What a waste of money.

  • Very poor image quality and video streaming very slow

I bought this monitor because of all the great reviews. Perhaps I received a defective one, but the image quality is very poor and pixelated, it is actually worse than the webcam I used for MSN back in high school lol! The night time image is the worst, I can't even make out the baby's face. The video stream is painstakingly slow, the images jump on the screen from one frame to another. When panning and tilting the camera it lags a second or so behind the control, very annoying. The battery lasts only until about 3 or 4 am then it dies. I bought an off-brand monitor later for half the price and it was way better. Will be returning this monitor.
