Who's Rose Pink Laptop Can ONLY Be Described as, "Cute" (Possibly Adorable) And Come Equipped As Such... (256 Gb SSD), LOVES This Drive And It Fits Her Needs And/Or ...Lack Thereof Stupendously annnnnnd As Such: Was A great Value!! Perfect for H.S and College Assignments, Documents, Small File, Movies/Music Files For Tyhe Kids Etc, Etc.No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Hit or Miss- March 20, 2019
I'll be honest. The prices that USB 3.0 drives make them delicious to someone's pocket. "But", depending on your computer scenario, it may work like it's supposed to or upset you. For starters, to stick a WHOLE hard drive within a tiny space is a wonder within itself. With that being said, reliability upon speed becomes a factor. "WILL your device allow you receive USB 3.0 or close to half of the 3.0 rated speeds" ??? So for different users it will be different results. That's why I'm honest about this. You may get this and receive a 2.0 speed and your device may be 110% working correctly and this stick wasn't meant to be.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Terrible, returning this!- August 5, 2018
I purchased one today, formatted it just fine. I was able to transfer 3 OS images to it, about 12GB of data. Now using it to transfer another 28GB, the ETA went from about 30 mins (which is lousy) to 2 hours(just terrible and frankly unacceptable for USB 3.0). I am hoping this is a defective unit. But I won't take a chance on another one from Western Digital. I will just wait for a better offer on a Sandisk or PNY. And it gets extremely hot to the touch during transfers. Flash drives do get hot while processing but I can cook eggs or almost boil water with this thing. This work is being performed on a 2015 MBPr: 2.5Ghz i7, 16GB DDR3, 512GB flash storage that reads and write above 700MB/s.No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
