C-MAKER with attention to detail design = happy customer :)
- December 7, 2025- too mainy pro's to list( to keep make this a short read) - Received with airmiles ( was initially hesitant with promotional gifts being low quality ) -Use 300 days/year, Serial# of 2046 = manf. 46 week of 2000 and still working great ! - yes maintenance required on anything with moving parts ( we strip grinder parts down and vaccum and brush every 3 months aprox.) - de-scale with vinager and distilled water when prompted on screen( no need to add more minerals with tap water) Con's...by design - for all coffee makers using moulded parts ( not just Breville machines) - our recent awarness of plastics harmfull for us, would like to see less plastics coming in contact hot liquids by use... - not easy to pour all coffee out of insulated pot, until you find technique of, rocking back and forth when pouring last amount out upside down from pot. pro's...by design - great use of proper materials and design for this hard working machine. - gaskets used to get coffee grinds from grind blades to basket, with deflector to spread out grinds evenly - meandering escape path built in for soaking coffee in basket incase it flows to slow, preventing overfliowing basket - removable catch tray for easy cleaning - operator messages on screen when machine will not start , to help with making sure are parts are in right position and locked in - even notices if user incorrectly sellects too much grind for given amount of water, no wastefull $ brews - auditory and visual water overfill indicators, thinking of deaf users also ! As a former mech. engineer, It seems German Rockstar Engineer(s) were obsessed with function on build !

Excellent purchase, no regrets!
- June 25, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love this machine! It replaced my Keurig 2.0. Very easy to use. Love the feature of single use versus a 12 cup pot. The stainless steel carafe keeps coffee steaming hot for at least two hours. Worth every penny.

Marginal Coffee Maker for Price
- April 26, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the money I would have expected a better design. It’s nice to look at but has some shortcomings. The craft is difficult to clean. Unless you have hands the size of a 7 year old you’re gonna need a bottle brush or equivalent. The flip side is that it does keep the coffee hot for an extended period of time. Cleaning after every pot is a huge pain. It has way too many parts and things that need washing (see pic). The taste of the coffee required experimentation with grind setting and strength but it only took a few tries to dial it in. Overall impression is just average. A bit too complicated and too many parts to clean is my biggest complaint.

DO NOT BUY
- April 29, 2024This coffee maker broke down within a year. I lost the receipt so had to send to Breville for an out-of-warranty repair. After sending the product in to Breville for "repair", I paid 115.00 to have it fixed. The coffee maker was returned but the problem remained. Breville wouldn't refund the repair but would only give us an in-store credit for the repair to buy the same or another Breville product. The issue was that the stainless steel disk wouldn't rotate to clear out the grind chute so made it impossible to make coffee when the grounds were packed against the inside of the disk, I expect more from a 400.00 coffee maker.

Makes a great cup of coffee " But "
- April 22, 2017Had the machine 8 months now , it makes a great cup of coffee . But it has been replaced twice now under warranty. I don't hold out much hope for the replacement machine lasting very long either , I do enjoy the machine but would I buy another absolutely not . There is a lot of cleaning and maintenance involved in owning it and the week or two while waiting for the replacement is also painful. Do your self a favour and buy a good coffee grinder and the good old Melita boil and brew . The coffee is every bit as good with out all the grief that goes with owning this machine.

Lasts only 6 months
- December 28, 2016We brew 2 carafe's a day for the office and this machine is holding up somewhat. Brews a fabulous cup of coffee. The other option was to buy those commercial coffee makers. This is still lower cost compared to those machines even with the machine lasting about 6 months. Most friends with the commercial machines complain about the hot water pump and the grinder getting jammed. The Breville Grinder does get jammed if we use high quality oily beans. So we vacuum the machine out just like they do in Starbucks. Bottom line, this machine produces great coffee and is lower cost option for a medium sized office.

Nice But Quality Control Issues
- February 10, 2024This is our third Grind Control. We love the coffee quality to effort ratio this machine gives. However, the quality is not on par with our first two. This one made a noticable snapping clunking feel and sound near the fully open position of the basket holder door swing. I fixed it by bending the protruding metal skin tighter to the plastic frame to eliminate the obvious interference. We also have to press the door shut really hard for the latch to fully engage, which didn't happen on our previous units. It's top easy to think it's shut but have it pop open during brewing. Summary: great product, manufacturing quality control needs improvement.

Multiple issues with this
- March 6, 2023We have had this machine for about 2 years and after about a year it was giving us major problems. The grinder would always jam and not grind the proper amount of coffee. So then the coffee would be watered down and we would have to clean it and start all over. Recently the latch has been opening mid brew and stopping the process with coffee grinds falling out in the process. Would not recommend this machine as it’s very expensive for getting one good year out of it. Customer service only suggested we not use dark roast beans in this machine, but that still didn’t help. Look for a coffee maker elsewhere.

The best consistent brew
- November 11, 2025[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had this machine previously for about 15 years and after a LOT of use (I’m talking nearly our own home cafe with many many family members and guests gulping up the delicious coffee) it finally died and we had a few backup machines but we realized quickly we could not be without this machine specifically. So we replaced with this updated version and all in well in our caffeinated blissful home! The grind control is outstanding. Each cup can be customized. For bigger gatherings we use the carafe. The taste of FRESHLY ground coffee in each up incomparably tasty. Even better it’s fairly priced for the high end taste and personalization.

If you like luke warm coffee
- July 26, 2020I purchased this machine and returned it in less than a week. It was brewing individual cups of coffee at 141.5-143.4F and pots of coffee 138.5-140.2F. Barely any steam coming off a cup of coffee. I drink my coffee black and would consider 138-140F lukewarm at best. By the second cup, it needed to be heated in the microwave. I kept the strength and grind settings right in the middle and every pot of coffee had grounds in it. The basket overflows with every pot. Many of the reviews said it was difficult to clean. I ignored this thinking it wouldn't be so bad, I was wrong. Difficult to believe this machine has been on the market as long as it has.
