Keep your child safe with a Britax car seat

Britax car seats stand out for their ClickTight harness, SafeCell Impact Technology, and convertible design so they can grow with your child.

What makes Britax car seats stand out?

Britax car seats stand out among the pack for their various features that offer safety, ease of use, and simple installation. The steel tensioner automatically tightens the seat into the vehicle while the ClickTight, a five-point harness is designed with fully open seatbelt paths for easy installation. The SafeWash cover on many models, meanwhile, is easy to remove to machine wash and dry.

With options that can be positioned both rear and front-facing and features like side impact protection, quick push recline, plush foam padding, and SafeCell Impact Technology that creates a crumple zone to absorb crash energy, Britax car seats will keep your child both safe and comfortable for the ride.

Some Britax car seats convert from infant to toddler to high-back booster, while the One4Life models allow for up to 10 years of use thanks to the convertible design that grows with your child from car seat to booster.

What are the differences among Britax car seat models?

Britax offers a variety of car seats for kids of all ages, from as small as newborns up to 63 inches tall and 120 lbs. The Britax Boulevard ClickTight model can be used by kids from 5-40 lbs. when in a rear-facing position and 22-65 lbs. in the forward-facing position. It offers two layers of protection. The Marathon, meanwhile, can convert from a rear- and forward-facing infant car seat to a high-back booster.

For even greater protection, there’s the Advocate with three layers of side impact protection. The Grow With You model, meanwhile, is a convertible car seat with two layers of side impact protection. It is forward-facing only but can later convert to a booster as needed.

Britax also offers belt-positioning booster seats for older kids who haven’t yet reached the required height and/or weight to sit without a booster.

What type of Britax car seat should you get?

Naturally, you’ll want to start with an infant car seat like the Boulevard that can accommodate a newborn in a rear-facing position then switch to forward-facing once they grow to become a toddler. For even greater side impact protection, which might be desired for city dwellers or road trippers, consider the Advocate.

The Grow With You model, meanwhile, is ideal for older kids. It has convenient features like cups and snack holders so they can hydrate and munch during long car rides.

The most versatile car seat in the line is the Britax One4Life car seat, designed to be used for the entire duration of time a child needs one. If this is your last or only child and you won’t be handing the car seat off to another child once this one gets older, the Grow With You option may just be the only car seat you ever need.
