    This KTP-445U is geat

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - November 12, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my 17 Ford Explorer because it doesn't have the premium sound system. I did a lot of research and also got the iDatalink DFO2 T-Harness so I didn't have to cut any wires and everything matched up perfectly simply plug and play. I did upgrade the door speakers to the kicker 6x9s which I had to find a special universal bracket for because the one that designed for it was to thick and I couldn't put my door panel back on and 6.5 (speaker bracket fits perfect) which gave me more bass and treble. This Alpine KTP-445U mini amp enhanced the sound did fit between my factory 8.4in screen and my glovebox.

    Suitable for size restrictions, Messy on wiring;

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 10, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cheaper than Kicker's alternative. Small enough to fit two of these amps beneath one rear seat in a WJ Jeep Grand Cherokee (1999-2004) and also small enough to fit one or two inside the central console (with removal of console). Inconsistent output for all four channels. Works best as a bridged unit for 2 Channel operation. More consistent operation with speaker lead inputs than RCA inputs. I suggest splicing into amp wires rather than clipping RCA connections off. Amp remote power wires in and out are on opposite sides of where they should be for convenience. I don't recommend these for any quality speaker requiring an RMS above 200w.

    Small package, huge power!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - February 13, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it to power my Accord's speakers after switching to an aftermarket head unit (which puts out less power than the "premium" stock amplifier. Used a set of preouts to send signal to all four speakers. 2 stock and 2 Kicker CSs. The stocks cannot handle 45W RMS but the Kickers can go up to twice that. No matter, this amplifier gets all speakers loud as heck. Mounting hardware is included but I couldn't get the vertical bracket attached because I ruined the Phillips screw head by using a smaller-than-necessary screwdriver. BEWARE THIS! Sounds great and the HPF works great. Good value for something so compact that can put out so much power.

    Perfect amp for my needs

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - September 26, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Alpine amp fits in the dash of my Tacoma above the head unit, the wires were long enough for it to be mounted out of the way in the tight space. It uses the same power source as the head unit, so you don't have to worry about running new cables. It's relatively powerful for such a small amp. I only have the gains set to the the 1/4 turn mark and control the overall volume at the head unit. I would recommend this amp to anyone with space or power concerns and looking to increase the output of their factory or aftermarket unit. I ordered factory harness adapters to make it easier to connect to the Toyota wiring harness.

    Another Quality Product

    Reviewed by Feday - September 16, 2020

I've had one of these for at least 5 years with my 2008 9886 Headunit and the little imprint processor piggyback.. If you can fit a jumbo hot dog there, you can fit this amp. I had both units In my car glove box.. They have been given low voltages, subjected to a leaky moist car, and heated up stuck in my glove box and not one component or function has been lost.. not even an overheat but it ran hot in there.. except my right rear RCA out from the Headunit.. but luckily the signal is sent through my imprint connection which pre-outs to the amp here. I'm about to move it into another vehicle and just finished bench testing everything on my patio.. everything still works :)

    Maximize your after market speakers

    Reviewed by - March 20, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new car need a serious sound upgrade yet on a budget. I don't need a thumper setup. Replaced four of the speakers with outstanding 6x9 JBL GX 963 speakers which sound great yet the stock amp needed to be turned up to 80% to bring them out. Hard to have a conversation at that level. Research my options and choose the Alpine power pack. Bam that did the trick. Clarity at every volume is clear and pure. Now these speakers sound like you are really hearing your music live. Volume is huge. What use to take 80% max volume now takes about 33%. Turned it up to the 80% level and almost went deaf. I can get my Led out now with this great little power pack behind my dash. Love my sound now.

Great Power at a Great Price!

    Reviewed by - June 3, 2014

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Dodge Ram Quad Cab (4 Door) and this little amp is amazing! It's running my two front Kicker 6x9s and my rear 5 1/4 Polk Audio with no problem! as a matter of fact it runs them amazingly! I was just running stockers of my Kenwood deck and it sounded terrible, No Lie. But when I put in this little amp and the kickers and Polks WOW what a difference! If you are looking for something at a good price that is going to make a difference this little amp is your answer! Another great thing about it is it is small and fits right behind your stereo so you dont have to buy a separate amp kit or anything.

Good product when using an output converter

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - November 15, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amp definitely boosts the sound of speakers over a factory unit but didn't sound right until an Audio control lc7i was installed to regulate the sound. Otherwise it over powers the speakers and the head unit will try to take the bass and mids out so it sounds like the factory system. Once it was installed with the audio control unit, the Amp was able to push out the bass and mids without it becoming distorted. I would assume this wouldn't be an issue for an aftermarket unit but since I wanted to maintain the factory appearance, I had to compensate for the shortcomings of the factory head unit.

Holy Cow! Great amp for not a lot of $$

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - February 26, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On looking into an amp and stereo for our son's very old Ford Ranger, I didn't want a big wattage system, just something that boosted the output and pushed the speakers to better clarity. I was shown this amp by the pro at BB and was very impressed. We got it and elected to install it as an inline amp ourselves. With only a minor issue (dead stereo unit) and a 1 crossed wire, the install was fairly painless. Since it uses the power out of the stereo, we didn't even have to buy an extra line or anything. My son loves it and it really performs well. It's a great 'hack' instead of buying a Punch or Rockford Fosgate Amp at 2 or 3 times the price. No, it's not complicated, but yes, it works great.
