If you’re lucky enough to have a 5-20R receptacle (which indicates it is a 20 Amp circuit, not the more common 15 Amp circuit) nearby, this thing ROCKS! When lightly loaded (100watts) it offers a runtime of 3 hours and 32 minutes. Pure sine wave output and AVR are great performance highlights, but the value of the new “SmartConnect” feature is even better. Plus, APC allows “1 Additional Year of Battery Warranty for FREE when you connect and register your Smart-UPS with SmartConnect”. An overall amazing UPS!

Bought this back in Dec. 2018. Ordered a network card 2 for in house management. The Firmware Upgrade manager says I have a FW Upgrade available but when I browse for it, none of the .enc files show up until you enable all files. Then none show they are for an SMT3000. Lastly reading all the txt files they indicate some should be compatible, but the wizard says they are not. So then I go to APC to see if I can download an .ENC (firmware file) and for my model they steer towards an .MIB file which the Upgrade wizard rejects. It used to be this process took minutes to achieve on APC support, but now it takes hours and tomorrow I will call for technical support. For my own references, I have been using APC UPS' for 20+ years. After this debacle it may be time to rethink this strategy.

I've had this installed in my server room for 5 months now and it has saved our network from quite a few brownouts and a brief outage. In addition to that, the Cloud service account has active monitoring and email notifications to let you know whenever your network is experiencing issues. I also purchased the NIC for this to allow SSH configuration and access. Great UPS. I'll be sure to update this review if anything changes.

For years, the SUA and SMT1500RM have been best sellers in the medium size UPS market, and with good reason – it's extremely hard to beat for sheer value. Now, with the addition of APC's SmartConnect (an enabling feature that allows customers to view the status of their UPS through a secure web portal), most user's won't need the additional expense of a NM card. Which saves substantial $$$!

The APC Smart UPS 1500VA LCD is a very worthwide purchase. It works very good. We have got two of these for over 5 years. Once I had to change the batteries. This is absolutly no problem. You don`t have to shutdown the servers respectively the UPS. Open the front, pull out the batteries, disconnect, connect the new batteries, push them in and close the front.

This is perhaps the value leader for mainstream UPS installations. 1kVA is not the biggest in this form factor, but it’s big enough for many applications. The addition of SmartConnect means that most users won’t have to buy a NMC to monitor the vital functions of this UPS. Consider this model carefully before moving on to more expensive models.

Near as I can tell, the only reason to purchase this UPS instead of the less expensive SMT2200RM2UC is that this model is TAA compliant for those that must procure such items. Nevertheless, this is a great UPS. However, the model mentioned earlier offers SmartConnect, which makes it the more versatile of the two models.

This is an amazing 2U UPS! 2880VA in this small of a package is an amazing achievement. But note that runtime is only 2.8 minutes if supporting a full load. SmartConnect is built-in, which means most users won’t need to purchase a NMC for monitoring. A lot of muscle in a very small space!

Simple and straight forward UPS used to protect and provide power backup for an Application Server. The UPS was easily connected to the server. Our client had the UPS up and running quickly without a hitch. We will recommend this model to other clients for their server rooms.

As with all of APCs other UPS equipment this unit is solid reliable and provides a ton of features for the money. Smaller 750VA capacity but rackmount and provides the SmartConnect remote monitor software. Highly recommended if you don't have a lot to protect in your rack.
