    TERRIBLE...DO NOT BUY!!!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - December 16, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! If only I could give 0 stars. This product is TERRIBLE. It works fine I'm sure, like any other A-V, but the products produces very annoying large pop-ups on the computer screen every minute or so, which are useless, just notifying one that BitDefender is doing it's damned job! See screenshot images attached below. Utterly annoying, distracting, useless information. Customer service is TERRIBLE, incompetent and rude. Please research yourself and see reviews online (such as "BitDefender problems" or "turn off BitDefender notifications". Returned after 3 days of complete frustration and bought WEBROOT INTERNET SECURITY PLUS + ANTIVIRUS instead. The Webroot is perfect.

Why can't you fix this problem???

    Reviewed by Kip - April 28, 2022

I've used Bitdefender and I guess I'm the one that is to blame for their software issues...because inspire of knowing this annoying "glitches". If you try to install the upgrade or better version Bitdefender the original version never stops popping up to tell you you need to updated. And every time I sign into to my account I see a number of accounts...WHY?? USED Uninstaller to try and get rid of the old version but Bitdefender leaves something in the computer, not sure that's OK...Now I'm stuck with an annoying Bitdefender product for 5 different devices that will be unprotected with annoying Bitdefender popping up telling me my Bitdefender needs to be updated and renewed.

307Megabytes Of Running System Memory, forced VPN.

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - December 29, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with the service although seems a little bloated which is annoying especially for a security system. Like enforced VPN client download which is only free for 200mb ? Like what the heck is that, and its worse offense is that this program will without question hog THE MOST Memory when running normally. I just opened Task Manager and it is about 307mb of running system memory. It is top quality as an antivirus but dang its a fatty.

    Total Security

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 9, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Usually, I renew my antivirus subscription around Thanksgiving and Black Friday because all the stores have promotions during these days. This year was no different, I was able to get a great price for this product. It was so good, that I purchased a one year subscription...twice, so I know that I can sleep well without having to worry that my Bitdefender subscription expires anytime soon. Seriously now, it is a good product. Everyone of us have preferences for different brands and types of antivirus, mine is this. You can buy Bitdefender, or Norton, or McAfee or whatever. At least, I suggest you give this a try. Buy it, you'll be well protected.

Very SLOW Daily Product & Virus Definition Updates

    Reviewed by - September 17, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OMG, so darn slow for Daily & or all Bitdefender Security Updates & I mean SLOW! It's literally driving me crazy seeing & dealing with this every day at these continuing SLOW crawl Speeds which are not improving. Bitdefender Security Products are one of the slowest Security Products to update their Products & Daily Virus Definition Updates. It takes 9 Minutes or longer at times with my Wired 400+ Mbps Broadband Internet Connection to let & get my Bitdefender Total Security 2024 to update & complete its Daily Security & Product Updates from the Bitdefender Security Servers. This kind of dreadful, SLOW Updates from a very popular Security Product is just lame & really needs to be worked on & greatly improved here soon or in the near future of all of their Security Products. No other Internet Security Software out there that I have purchased or used on my Desktop Computer in the past has been Bitdefender most definitely needs to focus & work on improving & making their Daily Security & Product Updates and Update Servers respond & work better & faster than they are now... I feel like their Updates are in Turtle Mode or slower! This terribly SLOW at Daily Updating... Also, Bitdefender Total Security has been taking & using a lot of my Computers System Resources heavily at times too & making my Computer slow to boot & startup which is also a concern and a annoyance. I am not so sure that I will purchase & take on another Bitdefender Product for these noticeable & noted reasons that I am experiencing & dealing with Daily?

    Good but has limitations

    Reviewed by Douglas - February 14, 2021

The core protection features have been good so far - about 2 weeks. Be advised that 2 factor identification is limited to only one cell phone number per licence; therefor if you are covering more than one person's device on a multi-device licence, only one of your cell phones can receive codes, which is far from practical. Also the included VPN download limit is quite low, presumably to encourage most users to pay more for extra.

    Bitdefender 5 licenses

    Reviewed by John - December 16, 2020

Good reviews of Bitdefender on Consumer reports and Tom's Guide so I purchased this product on sale from Best Buy in Peterborough. Worked great on 2 android phones. However, once installed on my Dell PC, it took me three weeks to figure out Bitdefender was intermittently stopping me from connecting my Dell PC wirelessly to my router. Removed Bitdefender and went back to using Kaspersky. Problem solved.

Works well and gets out of the way when not needed

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - December 30, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm using this successfully on Windows PCs and an Android phone. I haven't had any major security events, but this seems to be working as well as advertised and evaluated by the various testing labs. There seems to be a minimal impact on system resources, and it's unobtrusive unless notifying you of an event, unlike many of its competitors who constantly try to upsell and cross-sell their other services. It does display on-screen notifications when you try something that one of the optional services works with, but you can disable these easily in the settings, and the software respects your choices. Overall, I'm quite happy with how it works, and how well it stays in the background without interrupting your computing experience. That alone makes it better for me than competing products with similar levels of protection.

Pop ups, pop ups, pop ups.........

    Reviewed by Farzin - February 4, 2022

Regardless your settings, enable or disable notifications, you get very ANNOYING POP UPS. it's not suitable for any kind of productivity use of your computer. Yes, it's faster than some other software during the startup, but it's only that. The distractions caused by those pop ups make you waste way more precious working time than you save for the startup.

    Safe and sound now.

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 21, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm quite pleased with Bitdefender Total Security. It has many security features available to you to protect 5 devices. Just a few that I find very important. Along with anti virus and firewall protection it has a VPN and web browser protection. Use it on my PC, tablets, mobile phones. Password manager as well for extra cost. Another security feature I really like is the Safepay secure browser that I use for financial websites. Only had it for less than a month. I found it to be an upgrade from McAfee I've had for years. I would highly recommend Bitdefender Total Security.
