[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just moved into a new house that was pre-wired for surround sound, and the only place to put the rears was in the ceiling, so I did a little research and decided on the RC80i's to go with my rti 10 fronts and Denon receiver. I got a few ideas off of youtube for installation, and it was pretty simple and straightforward. They sound fantastic! I previously had monitor 30's for my rears, and these sound more seamless, and match up with the rest of my equipment very well. Maybe it's because of them being higher than the old speakers, but it's almost like they're not there, but the sound is great. I would definitely recommend these to anyone needing ceiling speakers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased 4 of these for the ceiling of our screened in porch. The sound is amazing! We spray painted the grill and rim to help them blend into the ceiling a little better too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Polk 7.1! I have 2 complete 7.1 surround setups! Plus out outdoor zones. I'll say we can enjoy a movie like in the theater or rock the neighborhood for partys.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded to these 8" ceiling speakers and am very pleased with the results (I use them as rear surround for my home theater). The sound is great -- I walked into the room to see who was making noise in kitchen. Turns out my son was watching a cooking show and I was hearing these rear ceiling speakers that were between me and the kitchen. The sound quality was that much noticeably better. I also upgraded to Polk TSi100 front speakers and a Polk CS10 center speaker. This was a great package upgrade for the money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading multiple reviews on several different in ceiling speakers I ended up choosing the Polk RC80i solely because of the bass specs. I was looking for a speaker with deep bass, which the Polk was unable to deliver. While on the other hand the mids and highs did stand about average with cheaper speakers I heard in the past. As for the overall construction of the speaker, it was noticeable cheap and lacked that "solid" feeling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These work as intended, good sound, nice clean look in the ceiling. Bought several of these for my house renovation. biggest effort is cutting the hole if you are a DIYer. Don't buy the cheap hole cutter kit at HD with the plastic lid that captures the dust, it isn't big enough. I bought a 240mm/9.45 inch blade and it worked just right.

I wanted to go higher end to match my Def Tech towers, but couldn't justify the cost for surrounds. I'm telling you, these sound amazing, even when I play all channel stereo. I have them mounted without any acoustical box, just open ceiling joists.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm using these as my ceiling speakers for my 7.1.2 Atmos setup. So far they've produced great effects and more bass than I was expecting. They blend in very nice with the ceiling and the movable tweeters are a plus if you dont have the best mounting positions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m glad I spent my money on these speakers. They are perfect. I bought these speakers to compete my 5.2.2 atmos setup and they do an awesome job. Sounds great and installation was easy. Great value for this pair of speakers. Would highly recommend.
