[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The setup for this printer was incredibly frustrating. it is aimed at being maintained by an IT staff, not by a home user. Lots of "access denied, contact administrator" messages. After hours of frustration I found a YouTube video (by Canon) that guided me through the process. Why on earth wouldn't that be the first thing you see in the "setup" guide when you unbox the unit? I just bought another equivalent LaserJet by HP, and setup was a matter of minutes. I bought it because all the HPs were sold out. Once set up, it worked fine, but it then took another 2 hours to figure out how to work around a zillion error messages and "access denied" barriers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Packaged within a unique box within a sleeve; pull the sleeve out and the printer comes out easily. Not nearly as heavy as it looks. Has a smaller footprint than my Canon MF6530 which it replaced. PRINT QUALITY: Laser. Very quick. Beeps when printing done. COPY QUALITY: Laser. Super fast. Beeps when done. Standalone copying. SCAN QUALITY; Huge surprise - scanning firmware built-in; no need for 3rd party software. Standalone scanning. Much faster and BETTER than Acrobat. 2-sided scanning? One pass. Scans at copy speed. CAVEAT: This is a recent purchase so no opinion on durability. However, my old Canon lasted about 15 years. At this point, the D1620 gets the highest recommendation. CUSTOMER IN MIND. Canon clearly had the customer in mind with nice little touches and thoughtful features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Through my office I have used the Canon imageclass laser printers exclusively. This is the fourth Canon that I have purchased. Highly reliable and easy to operate. The toner cartridge can be easily replaced with recycled cartridges- which makes for a cost effective way of copying. The replaceable cartridge means that the machine is all but breakdown proof. I recommend the Canon to anyone who has a small office (ie 4,000 copy load per month).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, this printer is fast! I hadn’t bought a printer in a few years and had settled with the fact my print jobs were going to take forever. So happy we decided to get this printer. The setup was easy and the print speeds are mind blowing! Jobs seem to come out within seconds of hitting the print button!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice print quality. Isn’t the best for “stacking” reports to the printer. Pretty much have to wait for one to finish before you send the next print command. We are not paperless, and run through printers. This replaces an OKI that was one tough little printer!
