    Great Filter

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - December 6, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this LG refrigerator filter, it is super easy to install and helps with the appliance filtering process. I had to subscribe to automatic purchase to have it shipped every 6 months so, I do not have to keep counting days when it will be required to be replaced. Does a job of filtering the water and helps my household with getting clean cold water directly from the fridge. I completely recommend this product and if you plan on keeping your appliance for a long time like most households, subscribing to automatic purchase might be a great idea as that will save you a lot of money.

    Products arrived damaged

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - March 8, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product came in the mail with damaged box, filter looked dirty. Ordered a replacement and the same thing happened. Returned it and got my money back and ordered generic models off Amazon instead.

Pricey but You have to have it

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 9, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This filter is a must have if you want to use the ice maker and water-in-door features of the refrigerator. Fortunately it is well designed and can be changed without need to turn off the water and from within the 'fridge without need to move it to access the back . Nominally, it lasts about 6 months and the 'fridge model we have senses the back pressure from the filter and displays the approximate time left. In reality, the life time will depend on usage so with a family of only two we get nearer to 8 months life. It is an essential component of the fridge so the question of recommending it to a friend is somewhat moot. A little pricey at $50+ but - if you have the fridge and you want the water you have to have it!

    performs great

    Reviewed by - February 20, 2008

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This filter is required is some LG refrigerators. I have the side by side stainles steel 26.5 cf. The refrigerator actually counts down the number of months left til a new filter is required, which is nice. the filter itself is easy to install and remove. a quarter turn and its out. slide the new filter in, a quarter turn and your done. hold the display button for 5 seconds and it resets to 6 months. The water is always clear and clean tasting without cloudiness. the only con is the amount of time the filter lasts 6 months. it would be nice if it lasted longer.

No more LG products for us!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - March 7, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This filter is very expensive and never in stock.. but propably outlast the refrigerator(3rd LG APPLIANCE WE HAD THAT DIED ON US,THE OTHER 2 WERE A DISHWASHER AND A WASHER, at least it did in our case. Lg is a brand that needs to rethink their their sales motto. These products last maybe 5yrs when they start breaking down. And NO ONE is willing to repair them, not even LG the claim to be to far away to send a tech out. And when you hire one its at your expense.

    easy filter to changeout

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - December 31, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Filter does a decent job providing clean fresh water, intended for 6 month use. Has convenient finger friendly handle that makes for easy installation. Filter does drain a small amount during removal, so a glass or dish should be placed underneath to catch the dribble--to be expected. Filter can be used beyond 6 months, timeout can easily be reset. May eventually limit flow when/if filter clogs. Downside; $50 retail price for a disposable filter is unrealistic.

    Effective

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - February 5, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The filter removes the unpleasant taste of tap water and saves us a lot of money. We fill up our water bottles several times a day. We tried a less expensive filter but that was disastrous, the water had an unpleasant chemical taste. I have only given it four stars because I believe it costs too much and the last filter only lasted half the time I expected it to. I have been using this brand for several years and it usually lasts three to four months.

Did not work well, had to replace

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - September 30, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to replace this filter after a few weeks. All the previous times I purchased this LG replacement filter it worked well, completely removing the chemical taste of city water. After installing this one, the water continued to have a faint chemical taste. I replaced it with the same brand and type bought at Home Depot, and the new one is working as expected. I probably just got a dud the first time, so I gave it 4 stars.

    Life Saver

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 22, 2023

I bought this product directly because the store I normally purchase it from did not have it in stock and did not know when they were going to receive any. I don't normally do that but it needed to be changed. I was not worth the COST, to include the delivery time. I also wanted to be put on the auto renewal for free shipping but the site would not load all of my information.

    Good Product

    Reviewed by - April 17, 2010

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is good but it is too expensive. If there were a multi-pack to purchase maybe this could reduce the price. On average I buy this item every 6 months for the amount of water that I use in my household. Having to buy this item this often, is way too expensive. This item should be no more than $25.00, in my opinion. The price, price, price is too expensive!
