[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This filter will not snap into place without removing the old top plastic spacer and putting it on the new cartridge. The top spacer has been modified so the top groove is no longer squared but now has a slight incline so it will not snap into place. The old ones fit perfect but are no longer available. These new blue label ones also have a lot of particulate mater in the water even after a good flush. Please provide customers with a filter that fits. I have a 18 month old side by side and this should not be happening,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The water filter is easy to install. Push until it clicks to remove. Push until it clicks to install. Run a couple of cups of water through it to clear the airlines. The water and ice is better than the tap water. The neighbors all want ice. I give it 5 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ALTHOUGH THIS FILTER PROVIDES FOR GREAT TASTING WATER DIRECT FROM THE MOST RECENT FRIDGE I PURCHASED, THE COST FOR REPLACING THE WATER FILTER FAR EXCEEDS WHAT I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED. IT IS MY OWN FAULT FOR NOT RESEARCHING THAT INFO PRIOR TO ME PURCHASING A NEW FRIDGE LAST YEAR, AS I WAS IN A RUSH AS MY PREVIOUS FRIDGE DIED AND COULDN'T BE REPAIRED. I AM SERIOUSLY THINKING OF JUST STICKING TO TAP WATER AS IT ISN'T BAD WHERE I LIVE (PB GARDENS, FL). MY PREVIOUS FRIDGE ONLY REQUIRED THE FILTER TO BE REPLACED YEARLY. THE NEW ONE RECOMMENDS THAT THE FILTER BE REPLACED EVERY 6 MONTHS. JUST ANOTHER WAY FOR FRIGIDAIRE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE MAN!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two years ago I made the mistake of buying an off brand of filter that was cheaper than PureSource. It happily clicked into place. Six months later it wouldn’t budge! The simple push-in and release motion that is required for PureSource is not what I was up against here. I literally had to dismantle the water filter area, pry this thing lose and hope like heck that I hadn’t broken any plastic parts! It was a nightmare! Live and learn. If you’re frowning at the cost of original replacement filters, just get over it! You do not want to go through the headache of prying out an ill fitting cheaper one. PureSource is what you need. Period.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a 3 pack of these filters due to the home we're renting having the frigidaire water filtration system. I did a model search to make sure I had the correct filter and actually changed it out today. Was nervous at first b/c the new filter that was given to us when getting the keys was longer (PureSource: ultrawf) so I thought I ordered the wrong one. I double checked again, and in fact had the correct one. It was a simple push of the filter to remove and install the new. I flushed the water through and it worked like new. The water flows nicely and water is clear. The 3 pack is the way to go as you save money overall.

Feels like Frigidaire knowingly makes a crappy product to force you to buy them more often (AND they're very expensive!). The original filter that came with our fridge worked great, but every replacement we've had since has been horrible. After about 6 weeks, the water flow slows to just a trickle. This has happened with every single replacement filter we've had (at least 5). Not to mention, we've now have two that have cracked, leading to a flood in our fridge. Never been so unhappy with a product and will always avoid Frigidaire appliances in the future.

My refrigerator is not too old and I replace my filter about 6 months from Amazon and my ice maker has not worked since. I read that I could have gotten a fake filter. I installed this filter and I’m not making ice like I should. I read online that these brand refrigerators have this issue often and people are complaining about the new filter. My packaging was red not blue as the picture described. I don’t know if the new filters are the issue or if the filter malfunctions other parts. I’m filling with water and the ice is freezing now, but it’s making little ice in 24 hours.

I've had a fridge with this filter for two years and have completely given up on these useless filters. I went through three of these filters in the first six months. The pressure is fine for about a week, so-so for about a week, and completely useless after that. I don't have any other restrictions on my system causing low pressure. The problem is the filter. Our water tastes fantastic out of the tap, so literally the only thing I need this filter to do is complete the plumbing inside the fridge so the water feeds into the icemaker and comes out the dispenser. It fails to meet even that very low bar.

I heard that there are a lot of fakes of this filter being sold by other vendors for cheaper prices. Why would you risk your life for very few dollars more? I trust Best Buy as they are not selling this thru a third party. I used my reward points and hardly noticed the price difference for this GENUINE filter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got online and ordered our new water filter as soon as we got our reminder email from Frigidaire. There was as YouTube video to watch, and that way we made sure we took off all of the pieces that were there for protection. The filter just went right into place and I added a piece of tape to show the date I installed it on the end. We’ll be ready and expecting it next time.
