We love the look of the hood... having the flat top was one of the reasons we chose this one. Here are the flaws: light behind the buttons is not aligned (see pic); battery cover on remote is almost impossible to move (we don't use the remote, so no gig deal); one of the LED lights started flickering on the dim setting after having barely used it for only one year. Overall, the vent function of the hood works well!

I love the look and fan performance of this hood. My issue is that within 24 hours of installation we had issues with the lighting as well as the boothtooth connection issues. The light flickers on low about 20% of the time. The middle light now only comes on randomly and is off more than on. I have this hood connected via bluetooth to CGS995SELSS GE Cafe Range. The hood disconnects at least once a week from the range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a one thousand dollar product it has flaws. the exhaust vent on the top has flaps that open an close when you turn them on i guess to prevent air return. But these flaps when you put the fan in low squeak a lot and sound like metal scratching metal. I first had a reducer coming out of the vent like in the pictures but then changed it to a wider pipe that does not form a cone on the top but still makes that annoying sound. This is the second time i open this thing to try to fix that, gonna have to put some grease on it or something. Overall disappointed for such a small product

The design of the hood was the first attraction, but the powerful fan and great lighting make it truly functional as well. The exhaust fan has lots of power but is very quiet. The features of the hood are wonderful.

The vent hood seems to be operating well in the first day of use, and it is quiet. However, I wish the digital clock function could turn off with the other display functions when not in use. Having the time constantly lit, right at eyesight, smack in the center of the hood, ruins its aesthetics and makes it seem cheap. I wish it would turn off like the other lit functions as it's redundant with the GE cafe range right under it also displaying the time. If I had known it was constantly lit (not apparent from the pictures displayed), I wouldn't have purchased it. Unfortunately, you don't realize it until after it's installed and mounted.

Upgraded from a Z-Line hood to match our appliance suite. This one is ultra quiet, even on the boost setting it’s a great deal quieter than our previous one set on low. That in itself sold the unit for me, but it still doubles down with some serious power. I high-sear on cast iron and generate a lot of smoke- the unit has no issues venting out the worst I stir up- beauty and form are one thing, but the product has to work! This one impresses… and looks good to boot! Pricey little unit, but you get what you pay for.

Great vent. Powerful, quiet and sleek. Wish instructions were a tad clearer on the minimum height. We thought that we could install just one chimney piece to reduce visible lines but that isn’t possible as you have to use both chimney inserts. Otherwise, a great and powerful vent hood.

We've had this wall mount hood for nearly 3-months, and are overall very happy with the product. Our last hood was extremely loud, and this one is very quite. It's hard for us to believe that it's working, but it is! No fire alarms have gone off when we are using extreme heat. The remote is also nice a nice feature. They one thing we are trying to understand is how to prevent the touch buttons from flashing. It happens every now and then when my husband doesn't turn it off, and the oven is no longer on. Another note, the big box stores will not install this. You'll need to hire a professional to detach your old hood, and install your new hood. Make sure you have the right supplies for installation as well.

The range hood is amazing! My favorite thing about it is the remote control - allows me to stand and work at my counter and control the hood while not even standing next to it. The fan is powerful. And it's a beautiful appliance

We love our GE Profile hood vent. It has a sleek and modern look. It provides an efficient exhaust, runs quiet, and provides more than adequate lighting to my stove area. It was a great addition to our kitchen upgrades!
