HDMI® Specification 2.1a is the most recent update to the HDMI® specification and supports a range of higher video resolutions and refresh rates including 8K60 and 4K120, and resolutions up to 10K. Dynamic HDR formats are also supported and the bandwidth capacity is increased up to 48 Gbps.
The new Ultra High Speed ??HDMI Cable supports 48 Gbps bandwidth. The cable ensures that ultra-high bandwidth dependent features are delivered, including uncompressed 8K video with HDR. It features exceptionally low EMI (electromagnetic interference) which reduces interference with nearby wireless devices. The cable is backward compatible and can be used with the existing installed base of HDMI devices.

Many of these features are already available on televisions and game consoles on the market today and will become more common as HDMI 2.1a compatible devices continue to be released. HDMI Dynamic HDR
HDMI 2.1A supports several static and dynamic HDR solutions. HDR enhances video images with an expanded dark-to-light contrast range for deeper blacks and brighter whites, more detail in dark and light portions of the same image, and more detail in an expanded color space.

.Source-Based Tone Mapping (SBTM) is a new HDR feature that allows some of the HDR mapping to be done by the source device instead of the display device. SBTM is particularly useful in cases where HDR and SDR video or graphics are combined into a single image, such as a picture-in-picture or a program guide with an embedded video window. SBTM also allows PCs and gaming devices to automatically output an optimized HDR signal to maximize the use of the display's HDR capabilities without manual configuration of the source device by the user.
.The Ultra High Speed ??HDMI Cable supports 48G bandwidth for uncompressed HDMI 2.1A functionality. The cable also features very low EMI emission and is backwards compatible with earlier versions of the HDMI specification and can be used with existing HDMI devices.
