Wow, what an ink cartridge!! I used to have an ink cartridge from HP’s instant ink program, where they implant a device into the cartridge that then phone’s home to HP to tell them when its dying so they can send a replacement victim. However, the one they sent me was already half-way dead, and the implanted tracking device wasn’t working properly, and not phoning home, so I couldn’t get another one. So, I had to “buy” this one, outside of the instant ink program! Which, I then got an email getting after me for inserting an ink cartridge that couldn’t phone home! (I’m 100% serious). This cartridge, once inserted has been a delight to use. It actually prints in the correct shade of black, and is consistent throughout the document!

The only reason that I am purchasing extra cartridges was that I had a lot of printing to do and the printer was incorrectly saying that my cartridges were low. I printed approx. 90 sheets AFTER this error showed up with no problems. After cleaning the printheads and doing an alignment, the sheet that it printed out showed the black and the blue cartridges were indeed printing poorly. I am rather disgusted, as this printer has printed VERY few pages. Just got it this summer. Had only printed maybe 10 pages of color (just website pages) and now the 90 pages of black. How in the world would the blue cartridge be low already. Previously, I had an HP C6180 and only needed to change cartridges once a year with my normal printing. Thanks for listening.

Horrific product. DO NOT BUY. Ink appears to evaporate without use. I don’t need to print things often. Every time I put in a brand new replacement ink cartridge, i print a few pages, and come back a few months later only to find the cartridge is empty. Literally a single use product. Outrageous. HP should be criminally prosecuted. I’ve been burned enough times now that I’ve learned my lesson for good. Will be trash this printer soon and buy a different brand. Will never buy an HP product ever again.

My problem may be technical but….. These cartridges are half size from the bigger ones I think that you have. Upon installation of these first cartridges since the originals, my printer says ink is low before the very the very first page printed. Something is not right and I know that ink is a revenue game with you. I got about 100 B&W pages from the first cartridges that came with the printer. And now, it says ink is low and I just installed them. Please advise. Thanks

We find this product is not what you are paying for. If you have a lot printing to do say, over 200 pages in a short period of time. It is perfect for not large users. I would suggest not using this brand of printer if you are a large user of file documentation, other uses such as pictures, or doing your homework. I personally thought we were getting an excellent product because we use other HP brand products. Hopefully this is helpful in making a purchasing decision.
