I "thought" i was saving money by buying "non-hp" cartridges, and although printing looked OK for a couple weeks, even though I was below the page count for the "cheap" cartridges I bought, the printing was light and fading. I thought maybe something else was wrong. So, I bit the bullet and ordered a genuine HP cartridge, installed it and instantly had a "new printer" again. Being the curious one, I opened up the "non-hp" cartridge, and to my amazement, the toner bay was completely empty. So much for the "hi capacity" page counts that the "generic" vendor touted. Even though HP toner cartridges are a little more expensive, in the long run, you get quality printing for the full number of pages advertised, so you are actually saving money.

I've tried the really cheap replacements and was never completely happy. These genuine cartridges perform very well, but at crazy prices. It was actually cheaper to buy a new printer and I was ready to do so, but of course it was out of stock. You should look at your prices and get them down to 60-70% of a new printer, not 110%. When I buy a new one I'll be looking at all brands.

As a hardware tech, I like the drum being included as part of the replacement. This helps reduce the "printer frustration" of have other print issues arising due to drum failure, which causes reprints which uses more supplies.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always get the HP brand color toner for my HP Color Laserjet MFP476 because I know I can count on the print quality and performance (getting nearly 2000 pages per cartridge) from the first page to the 2000th page; I tried recycled cartridges and other brands, and they don't come close to the HP brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having this 3-pack of colored toner for my multi-function printer/copier/scanner has been a great value, over buying them separately. All three cartridges will last for at least 3000 pages and still provide good print quality even when the toner is down to 5%.

The HP LaserJet toner cartridges perform very well and next day delivery direct from HP was terrific. Our only complaint is that the cartridges don't last as long as we were hoping they would. Overall we think the cartridges are an excellent product.
