The recent firmware update for one of the printers in the office has caused dissatisfaction. The update blocked the use of a non-HP ink cartridge, rendering the printer inoperable and forcing the purchase of HP ink. In light of this experience, our company will consider alternative options for future printers that do not restrict customers to using only specific brands of ink. As a result of the negative experience with the firmware update, the company has decided to refrain from purchasing any further HP products (i.e laptops and desktops) beyond what is necessary to run the printer, such as ink, until a replacement printer can be found.

HP products are tge best I 've experienced fo my 25 years of using them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having been a HP user for many many years, I will say that I am satisfied with the quality of my prints. My complaint and the reason I would not give 5 stars is that the ink is pricey and if/when you purchase a new printer (as your printer may become obsolete pretty quick) you generally cannot use the same model cartridge as you did for your previous printer. Fortunately I do not print a great deal so I don't have to buy ink frequently but I do have to watch the expiration dates on the package. The cost of ink usually exceeds the price you paid for the printer so I just say weigh all of your options but know that the ink quality and reliability are great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had several HP machines and always used their branded ink, just had not wanted to contend with the chance of problems on others. It is more expensive, but there are ways to cut that down some. Reward Zone members have gotten a small daily discount on ink, and HP occasionally seems to offer 'sponsored' sales giving a good discount on one or more cartridges. The HP ink is of high quality, I've always been happy with the printing results. This machine uses the 3 individual color cartridges (for this item, the 3 were sold in one box), so that you can change them one at a time if your ink use warrants it. It's a nice flexible feature that can let you be more efficient in the long run.

I have been using HP printers and HP genuine inks for decades. The performance of both have been excellent. The printers have a draft mode, which I use for my most of my printing, both black and white and color. I am able to save a lot of ink that way and the documents print far better than other printer/ink combos. Most of the time, no one can tell the documents, greeting cards, flyers, etc. are actually drafts. The only thing I use the recommended settings for are photographs. As long as I continue to get the same quality, I won't ever consider changing to another printer or ink.

The only reason I had to but this ink is because I finally managed to cancel that predatory subscription that HP calls "Instant Ink". Undoubtedly the biggest scam in the printer world. After finally being able to cancel that overpriced junk, HP blocked by printer from allowing me to print anything with the ink Cartridges THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR. I really hope and pray that somebody with the time and resolve manages to start a Class Action lawsuit against those crooks. And to be clear...this review is intended for HP, not Best Buy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an HP ink cartridge. If you have an HP printer that requires this cartridge, here it is. I couldn't find it anywhere else local, and the price was the same anywhere I looked, including online. It isn't the high capacity cartridge. Those were not available. On the other hand, I'm expecting the printer will break by the time I finish the cartridges. I can't wait. I will be buying a no-cartridge printer next time. Even though this is a good product for what it is, I'm giving a one star on the value because cartridges are too expensive. There are better printer options these days.

I ended up getting this ink as a result of just trying to get my printer to print. Even though my hp printer was on, my desktop consistently would give me the "offline" error message. I tried to uninstall it and then re-install it to make it stop happening. In the process, they asked me to sign up for "instant ink" the automatic re-order system. In my repeated efforts to install the printer I think I ended up putting myself on the re-order system more than once. So I have a lot of ink now for a printer that still usually gives me an "offline" error everytime I want to print.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the HP Laserjet 3-in-1 printer & I always use the genuine HP Cartridges. I usually purchase the HP Combo 3-Pack Ink Cartridges & you save a little money purchasing the Combo Pack rather than individually.
