I don't want people to get the wrong idea. I LOVE this product. It always leaves my hair shiny and smooth. But... It has some downfalls. First: There is a delicate balance between too much and too little. If you put too much in your hair it will make your hair sopping oily on the ends but if you put too little, there is really no effect. It may just be the way I am using it but I can't really say. Two: The outside of the tub says to use when hair is damp, but whenever I use it with damp hair my hair will not dry out as fast and is very wet and greasy . In conclusion, this is a very nice product in moderation. I think it would be nice to have clearer directions as well for clarification of sorts.

The smell is divine with the taste of coconut, pleasant, not sharp, delicate. I use the product every time after washing my hair, apply it over the entire length of the hair, from roots to ends, the cream nourishes and moisturizes dry and damaged hair perfectly, they comb well, do not tangled, smell great, hair is airy. Then I blow dry my hair or curling with iron and the styling is held until the next hair wash, the cream protects the hair from the hair dryer and curling iron, which is a very big plus. Great for dyed and damaged hair and for those who want to grow healthy hair. Highly recommend this product, this is a super cool tool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this because of my biracial college aged daughters who have tried a lot of products without fantastic results until now. It has a nice scent to it which made them want to use it, after applying it, their curls were beautiful! Shine everywhere, softness and the curls were all over but nice, supple and rounded-just like when they were young. It restored so much healthiness after using it for almost a full week now, that they are loving how their hair looks! Split ends are a thing of the past and their hair can not only handle using heat but they don't want to anymore because they enjoy their natural curls now.

Love the JBCO Leave in and styler. My hair is 3B high porosity so I was excited about this thicker product. About 8-10 months transitioning from keratin. My hair was Very dry, frizzy, puffy. At first try I thought this product was just okay. As we know our hair gets bored with products and its transitioning. After 2 months of doing a 2hour+ Deep Conditioning with SM coconut oil and an egg once a week, along with the yucca plantain antibreakage mask once a week, I tried the JBCO smoothie again and loved it. My hair has been so soft, hydrated, frizz free, humidity resistant and defined. I find that I've gone from Styling with 5-6 products at a time to 2-3. Sometimes getting away with just the JBCO and raw shea conditioner leave in. Washing once a week with coconut hydration line, rinsing as needed in between. I hope this smoothie stays around. Don't be too quick to give up on a product, if u don't love it. try again later, And DC...DC...DC!

This is perfect for all my kinky, curly, and coily haired friends who have damaged hair from heat, dye, etc. I will always recommend Jamaican hair products because they are a godsent! Also love to support a black owned business!

If you have brittle or thin hair, this product may be for you! I purchased this product, as I felt my hair starting to thin from stress. While this product did wonders for my worries, I had to stop using it as it would leave my hair feeling dirty and like it was coated with something. There is a very fine line between using too much and too little with this product, and with my fast-paced life, I went over that a few too many times. Though this product may not have been the best for me, I can totally see how it would be perfect for others!

Even though I have very fine and thin hair, it is also very dry at the ends and needs extra moisture as a result of the hard water quality in our home. By using this from the middle of my hair to the ends, I am able to get the added moisture without having my hair feel weighed down or greasy at the roots. It helps my hair feel soft, supple and bouncy. I also love the way it easily detangles my hair so I don’t need to add an additional leave-in product to my routine to combat this issue. The scent is lovely and the price is unbeatable for the quality you receive. Highly recommended!

I have long wavy hair, my hair used to be tick and strong. Lately the damaged caused by heat has made it be unmanageable at the most visible areas. I had stopped for years coloring my hair, it's natural color. I bought this product used it and my hair became way more unmanageable way more breakage and the texture is just wrong. After 3 washes I can still feel the horrible sensation I felt when I first used it.This was my first time using this product, I'm too afraid to try anything else. I followed exact instructions. Please beware, most customers say about product changes... I wish I had read this before.

I know this smoothie keeps getting mediocre reviews, but man has it been amazing for my hair! The Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie gives me good moisture, but doesn't define my coils at all, and builds up in my hair. The other smoothies are too light to give me the moisture and hold I need. This smoothie is my "Goldilocks smoothie"; just as moisturizing as the curl enhancing smoothie, but defines my coils like no one's business without the build up! I only wish that this was sold everywhere like the Jamaican Black Castor Oil Styling Lotion, which I'm also a fan of. Please don't discontinue this!
