What customers are saying

The descaling solution is generally effective at removing mineral buildup and improving the performance and taste of the coffee maker. However, some users experienced issues like the descale light not turning off or the solution leaving an unpleasant taste or smell. In these cases, users had to try alternative cleaning methods or contact the manufacturer for assistance. Proper use of the solution according to the instructions is important for best results.

    Good for descale your machine

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - December 22, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product works fine for my Keurig machine. No smell and no flavor on this solution. Good for regular maintenance, but a little bit pricey.

    Clean the Keurig well!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - April 13, 2021

I bought the descaling solution bottles last month because my Keurig machine has the descale light coming on. So when the liquid arrived in a quick time of delivery, I put it to work. Only took me 15-20 minutes for it to fully descaling the machine and rinsed off with water. Coffee tastes a bit better afterwards! Definitely will start the subscription soon for descaling and coffee pods!

    I expected it would work

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 11, 2022

I owned my first Keurig for at least 6 years and never had to descale the machine the whole time I had it. I have owned this newer, premium Keurig model for 3 months and a DESCALE wording notice came up. So I purchased 3 bottles of the Keurig Descaling Solution expecting it to fix that issue. Did not work! Wrote to Keurig. Did not reply. Disappointed!

Help! I have a real problem here.

    Reviewed by - June 17, 2019

I have done this descaling process several times, and it has been very satisfactory. This time, however, the bottle DOES NOT HAVE USABLE DIRECTIONS! Yes, I read directions every time because I do not do this very often, certainly not as recommended, and I do not want to forget anything important. This time the directions were not obviously under the label like before with arrows and words telling you to lift the label. But with some diligent picking, I found they were, indeed under the outer label. However, they will not come apart! Now I have to look for the directions online.

    Zero usage instructions provided

    Reviewed by - April 26, 2020

There are zero instruction as to how to use the descaling solution. The box says to use the instructions on the bottle. There are NO instructions on the bottle. So I used the entire bottle. Took me 3 tanks of water brewed cup by cup to clear.

Necessary Citric Acid in a small bottle

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 30, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a must have if you own a Keurig. It is basically citric acid in a bottle. A safe and effective cleaner for the blessed coffee maker. Inside the label are the instructions for the different types of Keurig machines. If you use spring water, well water or even "city" water the Keurig builds up minerals that affect the coffee. These are way too expensive and they only have small bottles. An alternative is distilled white vinegar make sure to run rinse brew cycles otherwise you'll experience yucky coffee. Vinegar may or may not damage internal parts of the Keurig. Keurig please provide a gallon size bottle of this... think of the environment?

    Racket!

    Reviewed by - November 17, 2017

We have a one of your Keurig coffee makers and got the DREADED display message that it's time to descale the machine. We just did this cleaning! As the marketing person that I am, I can see this is an excellent racket to make bundles of money by telling people they need to spend more money on a bottle of liquid with your name on it rather than running a solution of vinegar through the system. Incidentally, we have another pod coffee maker that is not a Keurig and it never tells us we have to order an accessory and spend more money. Sure business is in business to make money but in these trying times, how about being considerate of customers' wallets?

    Keurig to the rescue.

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - August 14, 2021

Had a "descaling" warning and tried white vinegar over and over, even letting it sit overnight but after a day or two the warning was back. The coffee maker also did not run very well. Saw the Keurig Descaling Solution and thought what did I have to loose? Got the solution, followed the instructions, perhaps letting the solution settle for a little longer than suggested, ran the 12+ cups of water through the Keurig coffee maker to flush everything out, and then ran a pod of dark roast. Everything worked fine. It has been over 3 weeks and everything is still running like new. Great solution that saved me from buying a new Keurig.

    NOT a good product

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - March 31, 2022

I purchased the Descaling Solution - 3 bottles - Used it on my K-Supreme Plus and my coffee pot FAILED during the rinse cycle - STOPPED and would NOT turn on again. Keurig took care of my issues and sent a new pot...I WILL NOT use the Descaling Solution on my new pot! I was also given a refund on the 3 bottles of solution that I purchased. I am thankful that my coffee pot was still under warranty and that Keurig takes care of even the flukes of the products. Not sure why this product is still being sold. I'll clean it the old-fashioned way with vinegar next time. sorry for the bad review - but truth. P.S. - no it wasn't a power failure - the pot is DEAD.
