What customers are saying

The coffee maker has generally positive reviews, with users praising its ability to brew great-tasting coffee quickly and easily. Key features highlighted include the removable water tank, permanent filter, and programmable settings. Customers appreciate the bold brew option and the 2-hour warming time. However, some common issues have been reported, such as the fragility of the glass carafe and the inability to keep the coffee warm for longer. A few customers have also experienced technical problems. Overall, the coffee maker is a reliable choice, but the durability of the carafe and limited warming time may be drawbacks for some.

Love the coffee maker but don't like new design!

    Reviewed by - October 13, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my coffee maker it makes great coffee, love the sound when coffee is ready and auto shut off incase I forget to turn off myself. The design of my new coffee maker is bad in many ways, just my opinion. This is my third KitchenAid coffee maker. My top reason for getting this brand and sticking with it is the removable water reservoir. So nice to be able to clean when removed. I'm including pictures comparing my old model to my new model ,new model on the right.. I don't like the removable lid on the reservoir my old one was hinged and connected to the coffee maker. . The size is too big. I prefer the clock on the front of the machine. Don't like the handle on the reservoir. And last the look of it with the big KitchenAid on the front along with the shape reminds me of my stand mixer. If it weren't for the changes I would give it 5 stars. I loved my old one so much more would give it 5 stars plus.

I have to return this coffee maker two times

    Reviewed by - August 12, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third coffee maker KitchenAid sent me. It is all scratched up. The showerhead from the vents insides leaks down the sides when I open the lide the remove the coffee filter. I have just about had it with this machine.

    Carafe is a BIG PROBLEM

    Reviewed by - November 25, 2021

The machine itself makes good coffee and works as advertised. The carafe, however, is extremely fragile. The first one we bought, the carafe was broken around the rim, right out of the box. We exchanged it for a whole new machine. This carafe was not broken, but we found it very difficult to clean properly due to the way it is designed - you cannot take it apart and rinse the lid separately. Then, one day less than a month later, we rinsed it and there was a CRACK! sound - sure enough, it had cracked right at the rim again (where the metal band holds the handle and lid onto the carafe). We think this is a terrible design flaw.

    Not happy

    Reviewed by - January 2, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As mentioned in my previous assessment, and I must say that I have always loved Kitchen Aid products, but in recent years I have been disappointed. The last coffee maker is a replacement for the one I had only received as a replacement for one that died. This current one has other issues. First, the same heating plate does not keep the coffee hot. You can not turn it back on for another two hours of heat. I asked when I called about this issue and was told that it was not available on any of your models. I must say that I have a Cuisinart coffee maker now which does what I requested from your company. I hope you revise the design issues so I can come back to your company.

    Disappointing timer.

    Reviewed by - June 13, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the physical features, i.e., portable reservoir, sideway storage option, and general look. However, after the two-hour heating time, the coffee maker shuts off and will not turn back on, unless one brews another carafe of coffee. If you are looking for a coffee maker that can be turned on, after it turns off, look for another product.

I love waking up to the smell of coffee

    Reviewed by - January 21, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a Christmas gift. Before I received this gift would go to the local coffee shop to get coffee. I love this coffee maker it is wonderful and it is great to wake up and my coffee is ready. It is simple to use, and the coffee tastes great every time. My only regret is that I wish I had got this coffee maker sooner.

Great - until the warranty ran out!

    Reviewed by - April 10, 2021

We purchased this coffee maker in January 2020. We had absolutely no issues with it until yesterday, 15 months after we purchased it. It just stopped working - it wouldn't turn on. Of course, the warranty was only good for a year so we had to run out yesterday and buy a new coffee maker since we are big coffee drinkers in the morning. For the first time in many years, I went with a different brand. My last Kitchen Aid coffee maker lasted many years and truthfully, there was nothing wrong with it when I replaced it. I only wanted a newer model. I definitely should have kept that one!

    Great coffee machine!

    Reviewed by - March 22, 2023

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I've been using KitchenAid appliances for more then 20 years and like the quality of their products. My 14 cup drip coffee maker stopped working and was replaced with the 12 cup unit. I like this machine as the countertop footprint is narrower than the other unit and allows for a great cup of coffee. The only negative issue I have is , when it comes to removing the coffee grinds for the unit , the top cover has to be lifted up to access the removeable filter. At this point a fair amount of water comes rolling down the inside of the cover and down the outside of the coffee unit unto the counter top. A better design, a raised edge on the top of the unit would contain the water so as to allow clean the water.
