- Very good speakers...Reviewed by Home Owner - July 19, 2016
At the same time I purchased the 'Klipsch AW-400', I purchased the 'Polk Audio Atrium 4' and 'Definitive Technology AW5500' speakers to see which fit best for my backyard. Without question, the AW-400 sounds better than the Atrium 4. The AW5500 gives you a little more bass and are a bit louder than the AW-400. If budget was not an issue, I would have went with x2 AW5500's. But, I opted to keep the AW-400 as the sound quality is still very good and comparable to the AW5500.

Report - Great small outdoor loudspeakerReviewed by Anonymous reviewer - June 13, 2020
I have a pair of NASCAR's inside and decided to buy another Kitsch loudspeaker for outdoors. I removed the grilles, masked off the drivers and binding posts and used spray paint for plastic to paint them charcoal. They now match their surroundings and sound great for a small loudspeaker. As expected the bass is a bit lacking due to driver size and lack of wall reflection however the midrange and highs are typical kitsch, spectacular. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these loudspeakers
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Helpful (3)

Report - Great outdoor tunesReviewed by Joe M - August 23, 2015
I bought these a month ago and installed them under my roof overhang while on vacation, they do offer a very good quality sound. I play a few songs to let them warm up and then turn them up a little more and relax in the pool. With a 4 inch woofer they do sound good but if you want some deep boom it will cost you several times more, I did a few weeks research on outdoor speakers before I bought them. I got them on sale and are well worth it, just real nice being outside and listening to tunes.

Report - Good sound, great value on sale.Reviewed by Jeff - August 17, 2016
I have 4 pair of these to create a full 7.1 surround setup in the backyard. Sound is very clear and quite good from a compact speaker. Low end is a little lacking as expected from small speaker. Addition of a subwoofer fills in the low end nicely. Backyard movies and Jays games never sounded so good. If you don't like the neighbours, cranking these up will surely drive them crazy.

Report - Klipsch AW-400's great set of speakers.Reviewed by JE - August 8, 2017
I installed these on the deck at my cottage. I am powering them with a 400 watt NAD receiver and the sound is very repectable. Wonderful crisp highs, clear mids, and adequate bass. Purchased them on sale and will pick up a second pair for my home deck the next time they're reduced.
