[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me a long time to get my macbook backed up. In the beginning it wasnt as easy as just inserting the hard drive. I bought this not even a full week ago and my macbook is JUST now backing up today. I had to go in and find/rename files and delete them in order for my macbook to back up. Finally i got it working! Thank God!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this storage device for my wife’s Mac. She was always complaining about storage on her computer because I got her the 256MB. I just didn’t understand why Apple would charge so much for storage. After a day of using this hard drive she was in love. Great speed in transferring and she can finally finish all her movies. Phots flow effortlessly from the device to the computer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to have the Passport external drive so I was worried about changing to Lacie, but I’m glad I did. The rugged support structure makes it very convenient to travel. The Lacie software also makes it very convenient so use Apple’s Time Machine, which made me very happy. I was able to set up the Lacie in a matter of minutes.

I spent a good hour trying to get this thing to work but the software that comes with it is pretty useless. Total waste of money as now I can't return it to Best Buy as the box is opened.

I got the 1TB, but there are ones that have more. Perfect for those that need more storage than what their device is giving.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a good external drive, I've used them on both Windows and Macs and they work very well with both. I like the orange protective surround they have, it's easy to find, for one when they're around the house not attached to the machine, and they help if one drops it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was easy to connect the drive to my MacBook Air with the USB-C cable that was included with the drive. I've used it with the Time Machine app on the MacBook and it works fine. I have not tried the software that comes with the drive. Overall, I am pleased with it.

With mirror function it doesn't get any easier to back up your work. Great amounts of storage for large files and a great price. It looks good too.
