1. The area depends on the amount of light coming from the lamp, the room itself, and the brightness level that is comfortable for you.

2. Without going into details, one lamp per 3 square meters will be enough.

3. If you're looking for a more in-depth approach, let's do some math. A 12W bulb produces 900 lumens. In reality, a lumen is the amount of light a bulb produces.

4. And the most recent building codes say the maximum brightness is 300 lux. We take the area of the room, for example, 10 meters, and multiply it by 300 lux. Our room has a dark floor and a lot of dark furniture, so we add 60% to 3000 lux and get 4800 lux.

5. To understand the number of lamps, 4800 Lux is divided by 900 Lumens = 5.3, rounded up to get 6 lamps.
