    G923 TRUEFORCE SIM Racing wheel

    Reviewed by - December 10, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this wheel with my PC. Very easy to set up, just required me to update my graphics software. Once set up you can go straight into a game that is compatible and race. a little strange at first but easy to get used to and much more immersive. The feedback from the wheel can be a little loud through the desk but works well. The pedal unit would be best used on carpet or a fixed mat as it tends to slip on wood or laminate flooring despite the rubber grips. The carpet grip strip is retractable and can be a bit sharp to the touch.

It is really solid build and feels hevy . Stering wheels covered with hand stiched lether which give me feeling of using real car. Pedal set made with very stiff aluminium , conected to the wheel with only one single cable. Include True Force system which adds more realism to the game . Easy to use , steering and maneuver with cars. Really enjoy every game with it . Recomend to everyone

    Makes Racing Exciting

    Reviewed by - August 29, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box, you can tell this wheel and pedals are well built. Quality plastics support the metal pedals and brushed aluminum wheel wrapped in leather. Honestly, this feels better than the setup in my actual car! I really appreciate the attention to detail with a retractable grip on the base of the pedals for carpeting and pop-up screws for easy attachment of the wheel to a table or whatever support system you choose to use. I love cars and really enjoy racing games, but also tend to get bored with them quickly. It just isn’t that exciting to play them with a regular controller or mouse and keyboard. I got ahold of the G923 wheel and pedals in hopes that I could fix that. So far so good. Playing with a dedicated wheel and foot pedals makes gaming SO much more exciting and realistic. Controls are responsive and synced well with games. Trueforce helps me judge speed in corners and pedal resistance is perfect so I know exactly how much throttle or braking to expect from my inputs. So far I have only used this system to play Forza Horizon 4 on Xbox and it was plug and play. Going to try it with F1 2019 on PC next and see how that goes. My only complaint right now is my setup. I live in an apartment and don’t have any tables or desks that I can use to mount the steering wheel and have space below for the pedals. Literally playing on my lap for now and while it works, definitely not ideal. Hoping to get a Playseat semi-soon to round out the setup. Would absolutely recommend checking those out if you are interested in this wheel and pedals!

    This not a Challanger!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 24, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The futures are amazing hands down. Feels like your driving Dodge Challenger, We bought one for each system, wish they was crossed for both instead. There both crossed for PC though just not console. Its pricey when you buy complete setup for both systems so we had to get little creative to build a steering wheel holder till we can buy thr frame for them cause there front heavy. Using Dinner TV tray $10, bracket $5, Craftwood we broke down $20, Paint $1.50 (Must say not to bad!) Be sure to buy USB 3.0 extensions cord though.

Racing Immersion to the Next Level

    Reviewed by - August 27, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] --- SETUP --- The Logitech Racing Wheel and Pedals for Xbox One is simple to set up. There is a permanently attached USB cable to the steering wheel but all others connect to the wheel. Under the wheel base, there is a nice oval-shaped groove to allow you to coil the cables in a neat way so that you only have the length that you need. You will need an electrical outlet nearby to complete the setup. The wheel itself has hooks that are easy to pull up and down with some cleverly hidden knobs that secure the wheel to any flat surface . --- FEATURES --- The main features of this steering wheel is that it provides force feedback when playing driving games, full 270 degree wheel rotation, pressure sensitive pedals, and a pedal plate with clutch step. There is a connector under the base to add a clutch stick add on, but it is not included in this unit. Additionally, this wheel works on both Xbox and PC! --- PERFORMANCE --- Having this peripheral for Xbox is a dream come true. Arguably, the best racing games are on Xbox and with Xbox Game Pass, you have a lot of variety to choose from to enjoy your steering wheel. I tested this wheel with the following games: Xbox 1: Forza Horizon 4, Formula 1 2019, Dirt 2.0, Dirt 4. Xbox 360: Split/Second. At first, the wheel didn’t work with Forza, but then I realized that was because I had the game opened before I finished plugging everything in. A quick closing and reopening of the game made the wheel work, and I haven’t had an issue since. The wheel automatically aligns itself, so be careful not to put your hand through the openings of the wheel. After it aligns, you can begin driving. It is possible to fully control all menus with the steering wheel itself. The peripheral feels solidly built, sturdy, and won’t get loose when properly installed. --- EXPECTATIONS --- I have tried various wheels in the past and was always disappointed. This wheel is different. The wheel gives you force feedback. What this means is that, if you lose control in the game, the wheel will turn the way you’d expect it to turn in real life and go against where you want it to go. Most of the games I tried have a viewing mode where you can see virtual hands on a steering wheel and they sync very well with your real hands. Again, another viewing mode removes the virtual steering wheel and just allows you to see the dashboard and that feels like a more realistic approach to race gaming. In all games, there is a learning curve. The steering will feel natural if you’ve ever driven a real vehicle. My non-gaming wife was able to drive across the country roads in Forza Horizon and was just enjoying the views. However, since the pedals are pressure sensitive, you need to get used to how much to step on the break and not just slam it. The brake pedals provide a nice pushback against your foot and the gas pedal does feel like a real pedal. I played with the pedals on a carpet, so it didn’t move much when I was stepping on it. I imagine that you might want to place it over a non slip mat if you plan on using it in a non-carpeted area. When using the wheel in racing, I initially placed lower than I was used to. The more races I played, however, the higher I began moving up in rank. All races, even if I lost, were more fun to experience in this manner. I was pleasantly surprised that the wheel worked with backwards compatibility games on Xbox One X. I tried Split/Second, an arcade-y racing game from Disney Interactive. It is surprisingly just as fun playing arcade style racing games compared to simulation racing. The only caveat is that between cutscenes, the wheel would rumble like crazy. Since it’s not necessarily intended for older gen games, that’s not something to drop the rating for. --- VALUE --- This is a great racing wheel and the price of the unit is a great investment when purchasing it on the Xbox because Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has already publicly stated that all Xbox One X peripherals will be forward compatible. That means that when the Xbox Series X or S come out, you are already set to future racing games, extending the value of your purchase. --- APPROVAL --- For racing enthusiasts, this is what you want to be playing with. Since it works on Xbox and PC, both of which have Game Pass on them, you will have a variety of racing games to choose from and endless hours of fun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice, and very realistic, but unfortunately it is not a product suitable for children under 15 I think. It wasn't easy to understand how it worked despite the instructions. The steering wheel is really heavy, and if you don't have a support it is impossible to use it. At least one stand should be included for the price of the product. I recommend it but only for ages 15 and up.

    Make driving realistic

    Reviewed by - August 30, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not knowing how it would work, I was pleasantly surprised to see the clever mounting system attached without any damage to my dinning room table. Which is also great for quick removal. I will put my carpentry skills to work creating a Z frame for mounting the wheel like the more expensive factory built units. Logitech's wheel worked flawlessly and easily on the Xbox console. Plug it in and it works. A little more of a challenge on the WINDOWS 10 gaming laptop. Once we figured out how to install the driver from Ghub, we were able to get STEAM driving apps to work. Using the control center in the game to relate the pedals, wheel and paddle switches to mimick the original keyboard command. Than made the wheels feedback very realistic. Mimicked the slippery feel of wet pavement, trudging over swampy terrain in a jeep, etc.,. Love the Xbox and now the PC interface. The wheel has a BLUE center as on real race cars. The auto centering works fantastic. Note: keep you hands off the wheel when you first start it up and plug it in. I performs a reset on its HOME sensors and spins the wheel to both extremes.

    The Wheel that Logitech Forgot!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - December 5, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this wheel some time ago, when it first launched. That was around August of 2020 and Windows 10 was the reigning king of the Microsoft Desktop, while Xbox Series X hadn't even launched yet. At the time it launched you pretty much had to set every game up by yourself as the wheel wasn't supported and had no compatibility mode for older Logitech Wheels. Let's jump ahead a year later to October 5th, 2021, when Microsoft launched their new operating system Windows 11. Well, at the time, most people weren't too eager to jump on board the new OS, but here we are more than 2 years later, and you simply cannot buy many machines without the Operating System installed. Well, Since the launch of this unit, Logitech has updated their G Hub software (you need this, because they refuse to launch standalone drivers). You can see from the first image the app is installed and working fine, right? I mean it detects the wheel and allows you to test it right? Well, not exactly. Forza 7 cannot detect the wheel at all, it does not detect even a single press of a button on the wheel. Steam cannot detect the wheel either and yet when people install their standalone drivers for other brands, that solves the steam issue right there (still Logitech refuses to launch them). So, what am I forced to do to make the wheel as plug and play as it should be? Well, I'm forced to emulate a virtual joystick with the VJoy App, but I cannot do that until I run configurator from the Forza Emu Wheel Suite of tools. You might be asking if this is a Logitech tool? Nope, it is not, somebody else had to do it for them. I should thank them though, as the wheel works 100x better with the 3rd party software than it ever did with their own tools. If you want to use these for the consoles, ironically, they work flawlessly! Why is this Ironic? Because the Series X is basically running a version of Windows 11 underneath. So, would I recommend this? NO! You can get the Fanatec CSL DD Bundle or the Moza R3 Bundle for less than $100 more and they offer far better support on Windows. The only time I would recommend this wheel would be if you're a console or Mac Gamer as those are the only platforms where you don't have to jump through hoops to get them to run properly. Everyone else should opt for a better value like the G920 / G29, or the previously mentioned options above. Oh, and skip their pro racing wheel as well. The default backwards compatibility mode for that thing is... Wait for it... The G923!

    An affordable wheel/pedals combo

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - September 18, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The wheel and pedals are very fun to use with my PC gaming. I did have to build a contraption so that the wheel and the pedals don't move, because when you're really into the game, it's easy to wobble the wheel and push the pedals forward (even on carpeted floor). The only problem is I also bought the shifter but it is not compatible with this G923.
