[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With a layout very similar to the classic XBox360 controller, many PC video games have a pre-made template for this USB game controller, making it (more or less) a "plug-and-play" item. For those apps that don't have one, the downloadable software allows you many configuration options that, with some patience, should allow you to do just about anything you like, including mapping keyboard strokes and mouse buttons to any button or pad on the controller. The only shortcoming is the inability to map either of the "analog" joysticks — (there are two) — to mouse position, which would be extremely helpful for controlling POV or "camera" in many games.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The back trigger buttons are a little uncomfortable to hold down for very long. The controller has a nice design but it’s not as bright blue as it looks in the pictures, but I don’t care about that so much. The cord length is pretty good but you can get extensions for that. While the buttons are a bit noisy sounding. They work good. Setting it up to work is easy so it wasn’t a problem for me. The controller isn’t very solid feeling but for $20 it’s very reasonable. I did test it with my desktop computer and I didn’t have to do anything special to get it working.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I highly recommend this. I use this controller in game clients: steam, epic, Uplay, origin, Roblox, and Xbox. Steam game client is like the Amazon of gaming marketplace. You can get all games here. There are many games in the above clients that is compatible to a controller and this gamepad almost supports all of them. You don't need to own a Xbox too. All you have to do is download the Xbox app on your windows PC and use this controller just like you play in your Xbox. If you need a bigger screen, connect your PC to tv then you don't even find a difference whether you are playing on your Xbox or PC. Also the monthly subscription of Xbox is very cheap on PC When you get almost the same content. The "back" button on it corresponds to double square button on Xbox controller. The "start" button on it corresponds to the menu button on Xbox controller. The bonus button mode comes for customization if needed. There is also another bonus button in the name of " Logitech" once pressed,. This will relate to Win + G and open your recording screen on your windows. Finally one more switch button at the reverse. Once again for customization if needed. 300$ Xbox can be achieved with just $15 bucks. And also you get the same comfortable feeling of playing Nintendo, or the switch using a controller. Nothing to lose. Buy two and you can play split screen games. Added "beach buggy" games example.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this controller for my nephew so he could play some basic games on his PC. The layout is very similar to this current generation's controller for home consoles. You have 8 main front facing buttons, two analog sticks that also have two buttons underneath, and four shoulder buttons. The quality feels decent, but lacks that heft. (Mainly due to a lack of rumble) For about $20, this is the quality you can expect I guess. The good news is that it does its job. The bad new is that the wire that the controller is connected to is of really low quality and has also broken after 2 months of use. All in all, great controller, poor quality build.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a gaming controller to play games downloaded from Steam @ http://store.steampowered.com/. Logitech F310 Gaming Pad Feels Good... Almost as weighted as a PS3 or XBOX 360, and it feels just fine. I was worried that the rubber edges would be cheap and peel away or start slipping, but it is solidly attached and the paddles and triggers feel fine too. Plugged it into the USB, and my Windows 8 picked it up right away. The price is about 1/2 of a Microsoft XBOX 360 controller for Windows. I can play first person shooter games on Steam that will use a controller. I also have a couple games that I had the OEM DVDs and wanted to start playing them again too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wasn't planning to buy it, but did so anyway since it was on sale. Not one regret as it turned to be a more than sufficient for modest gaming on my PC. Responsive enough for to play Street Fighter V and other twitch games and button-program software is very easy to use. Shape of the controller feels a touch big on my hands and uncomfortable to reach for the two trigger buttons (compared to PS and Xbox). Going back to the software, I just wish it was a part of the Logitech Gaming Software along like how my G430 headphones and G602 mouse are grouped with together--not a big deal though as I don't use it much frequently. So satisfied for a starter-level controller.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On Vista, I have to re-install it almost every time I boot. The software that ships with the controller won't find it. The latest version, downloaded from Logitech's support site, finds it about half the time. The Logitech support site has a device detector web app which finds the controller when the installed stuff won't. (But a lot of good that does you. At least you know it's connected.) As others have noted, it reads like the XBox 360 controller, and in fact, the software from Microsoft for the XBox 360 controller finds the device much more reliably than the Logitech Profiler. Of course, calibrating it is not possible.

I Love the design, as it is set up much like a Playstation 2 controller. It works with most PC Games and Emulators & for the few that Don't support it, you can use a Program called JoyToKey & design your own button configuration to your liking. Since the controller has a Switch Installed to support X or D Input to the PC. Not much bad to say about it, except excessive use wears it out over time, But the price is affordable considering the play Value & enjoyment you will get from this Game Controller. I would Highly recommend this Game Controller, for your Demanding Gaming Needs. As you can see, I have purchased this controller many times & Many Other Logitech devices as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i bough this to play games on my laptop via HDTV it works fine with CD/DVD ROM games...downloaded games from online and somewhat difficult to setup from the option menu....some games are good to play with the controller others dont....if i play Bejeweled 3 it wont work and have to use the mouse i played need for speed pro and it works just fine and easy to setup the bottons ....the price, is what you pay for...yes its very light...at least its made for pc use. but logitech needs to make improvement with these things. 3 things i wish this controller had ...1 vibration 2 wireless and 3 compatible with ALL type of games .

One may think that such a device would fit perfectly for operating heavy machinery, but contrary to popular belief, a gamepad may not be as reliable as traditional submarine instruments.
