Smoothies, soups, salsa.. oh my!
- March 16, 2021I bought this product more than a year ago so I could have protein smoothies as a part of my routine. I’ve also used it to make tomato soup and salsa, piña coladas, even pesto.. I’ve had absolutely no problems with the blade since I hand wash it immediately after each use. However, I stuck the cups in the dishwasher and the measuring line washed off. Ideally good for single use - my only problem is that it’s loud and you have to hold it down for it to blend. Otherwise, a great starter investment.

JUNK - NO PARTS AVAILABLE
- November 15, 2023I am past warranty and the gasket inside the blade assembly is twisted so it leaves. They don't sell a gasket or the blade assembly so the whole unit is now JUNK

Extractor blade poorly designed
- April 20, 2020Ninja would be an absolutely outstanding product with a slight re-design. I use my food blender daily for making smoothies and MCT coffees, and have been generally thrilled with one major exception. The black plastic extractor blade housing develops micro cracks which then leaks . Suggest a re-engineering to use a cast metal

Great Value!
- August 22, 2019I did purchase this blender on sale (50 bucks off) so for the price, I would say it is a great value. I'm using it primarily for smoothies and it has no troubles blending up the frozen fruit, leafy greens, etc. I also love that it comes with 2 travel containers so there is less mess to clean up (don't have to wash a blender pitcher + whatever glass you pour it into) and most importantly, you can make your smoothie and head out the door! I have 2 "cons", however. 1) It is SO loud. I make my smoothie in the morning before heading out the door to work but in the process I end up waking up (and occasionally scaring the heck out of) the whole household by doing so. I'm sure there's not much to be done, especially given that I am blending frozen fruit, its obviously going to be loud, but it is REALLY loud. Be forewarned. 2) While I do absolutely love the travel containers, I wish they were shaped differently (skinnier and taller) so that they would fit in my cupholders in my car.

Design issues
- January 3, 2021The visible short white lines are the cracks on the top and bottom.

Best kitchen appliance
- July 24, 2020I received my Nutri Ninja Pro as a gift about 5 years ago and have used it every day since then. I make a smoothie using a wide variety of raw vegetables (95%) and fruit (5%) with enough water to make it a drink. This 1000W blender never takes more than a few seconds to grind up any vegetable I throw in, from Brussels sprouts to garlic cloves and ginger root. (I admit, I never put an ear of corn in there. :-) It's easy to use, easy to clean and as loud as a jackhammer. I'd prefer a glass cup, but that's probably not going to happen. We're in the 21st century.

Great little appliance
- September 23, 2020I am so glad I have the Ninja Nutri Pro in my kitchen. It is such a great little appliance to have. I first bought it with the idea of making smoothies. I soon realized I could use it for a lot of other things in my daily cooking as well. The smaller size makes it easy to handle and store and it's so handy to just use it for smaller jobs instead of dragging out the big blender. It's also easier to clean. It has very powerful blending capabilities so it works just as well as my big blender. And it is really great for smoothies. I do still use it for that too. I am so glad I have this great little appliance in my kitchen. It does get a lot of use but it has held up great.

Barely used Nutri Ninja Pro not working
- July 28, 2024I purchased this blender some time back, it was barely used a few times, but it's extremely loud such that even the neighbors ask about the noise, it does not stop till you pull the plug out from the electrical socket and now when used, it keeps leaking. It's absolutely not worth buying. Zero value for the expensive money paid. I will never recommend anyone to buy such an expensive blender that has such a short life.

Blender cups should be glass.
- November 22, 2020I have had this ninja for several years and will be tossing it and buying an Oster blender with a glass container. I have only used it for smoothies and each cup has gotten nicks inside. I do not add ice to my smoothies, so the only item that could be doing this is the strawberry and raspberry little seeds. So those little pieces of plastic get eaten with my smoothie.

Thought Ninja was a good brand...
- April 2, 2020I’m using model BL451 and honestly worked great cut great. But clean up is not easy... The blade portion of the lid leaks very badly, looks as if there is no o-ring seal around the whole thing so air leaks in and your precious smoothie leaks into the base. The base of the blender can only be hand cleaned therefore it takes over an hour to make a smoothie.
