Very Disappointed
- February 21, 2020I've had a Telo since 2013 and it's still great. I bought the new Telo Air 2 to benefit from better Bluetooth range and wireless convenience. After going through two new Telo's, I'm back with my original 7-year old. The first new one was constantly dropping Bluetooth calls, had unacceptable noise interference and frequently lost it's LAN connection, requiring a manual reboot. The second unit still dropped the Bluetooth connection, both on standby and during calls, this causing the unit to crash and reboot. So, no possibility of calling with a hand-set till 15 minutes later........this product is unreliable should not be on the market....BTW, I'm a product/industrial designer. I've spent so much (wasted) time on this matter, I may as well complete this rant in all it's rotten detail. The support people in the Philippines were great, but, when Ooma said a replacement product would be mailed to me, tracking revealed the package had been recalled by the supplier. No one could explain why this happened - I even e-mailed head-office in Silicone Valley to no avail. Fortunately BestBuy provided a replacement, but that's for not just the same and I returned it for a refund - Thank you BestBuy!

Cumbersome Setup (Activation)
- March 8, 2023These units come with an activation code and serial number on the back of each unit. Initial setup should be easy - enter activation code on the OOMA website or APP. Apparently, my unit was not in OOMAs registration and I spent almost an hour with their tech support trying to get this unit activated. It required sending them the purchase receipt before they would activate the unit at their end. Normally, you would scan a QR code on the back of the unit and in a few minutes, you would be finished activation. For some reason, this unit was not pre-registered in OOMAs logbook.

5 YEARS AND STILL HAPPY
- June 28, 2020I purchased Oooma 5 years ago setting up was easy, imported my telephone number, installed the Ooma app on my cell phone, and I was able to answer my home phone on my cell phone anywhere in the world when you have WIFI, My whole family has Ooma now are saving lots of money.

- October 1, 2023The Wi-Fi connection is not very good, in Comparision to other equipment I have like Tv's or Amazon Fire stick they connect very easily & quickly and there does not seem to be an issue. I have using firestick for over 3 years, and it connects and works great. Ooma Telo 2 does not connect as well. I have gone back to using an ethernet cable. To connect to the Ooma Wi-Fi you need a smart phone, something they do not tell you so that you can download an app to make the Wi-Fi connection.

Great Phone Service
- January 24, 2025Have used a hardwired OOMA Phone Service for over 14 years now but it gave up the ghost so I found this wireless system at Best Buy & Ooma had me up & going in a few hours. This phone service cannot be beaten for the price & Best Buy is a good store to buy from as their stores are so nice, clean & the staff are friendly.

OOMA - works great
- January 6, 2023Have had original Ooma for years - saved $$$$s.....call quality is excellent and the new features like security add ons without a subscription are the next way to save $$$s as compared to an ongoing subscription model......basic and premium plans are a good buy. Recommend.

Ooma Telo Air 2 Home Phone Service
- December 9, 2025Instructions said it takes about 15 minutes to set up. We've tried 7 times now, with most tries lasting 2 hours before we give up and pull the plug on the machine. We've tried online help. They couldn't. We're ready to return it to the store.

- January 3, 2021I gave 4 stars because this gadget only work well when it’s directly plug the wireless booster. When it’s on the wifi, signal will go on and off. I make phone calls without issue
