As such, this 15-track selection sees esteemed JCR associates Victor Davies, Koop and the Underwolves knocking boots with everything from the piano experimentalism of DJ Matsuoka, spaced oddities from Poland and Manfred Ludwig's long lost East German sextet. Although free from too much filler, the old hands still manage to put the younger steeds to shame, the highlight of Playlist taking the form of the horn-flecked tongue-twister "Wsop Pampasow", recorded by Jerzy Milian way back in 1975. --Kingsley Marshall
