What customers are saying

The humidifier is generally effective at adding moisture to the air, especially in small to medium-sized rooms. Customers praise its good performance, easy fill and clean features, and quiet operation. The top-fill design is a convenient feature. However, some users have experienced issues with the humidifier not producing enough mist, breaking down, or having a defective motor. A few also note the warm mist setting does not get warm enough. Overall, the humidifier seems to work well for most users, though a small subset have had reliability problems.

    useless

Warm and cool mist humidifer?? Looks good; visual output of mist impressive, but it is absolutely useless. Warm setting is not warm. All this humidifer does is put out a sticky non moist mist on either setting. Does absolutely nothing to humidify. Save yourself the money - don't buy it. Thought I would save myself some money by not having to replace my Aeroswiss/boneco (sorry spelling) which finally gave up after many years. If anyone praises this Pure Guardian, they have no idea about humidifers. What an expensive hype.

    Engineering marvel!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family this is the first humidifier that I've seen instantly produces vapor as soon as you turn it on. It has a night light inside of it, I've had it for about 3 weeks and I use distilled water in it and I haven't had any type of build up on my heatsink. I really love this product!

    Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quiet, does a good job. Bit of a pain to refill, but this does not detract from its performance.

    Great Little Humidifier

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - September 4, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed something for our bedroom at night, as it's very dry here in Phoenix. The top-fill is the best feature to this, as you don't have to lug the container around to get it filled. We only use distilled water in our humidifiers as it saves a lot of hassle with cleaning any scale. Depending on the settings, you should get 2-3 nights of use between fillings. (Ours is typically at 50% production level.) Only one negative, is the blue power LED that you cannot turn off at night. We've just resorted to a piece of tape over that light.

    Poor Performance

    Reviewed by - January 25, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this primarily because of the nice design and top fill feature. It had fairly good reviews so I was excited. That excitement turned to frustration. I turned the unit on low and had a low mist output. As I turned the control nob up the mist would quit and blow nothing but low air. I tried emptying and refilling. Tried checking the seal inside. Tried all the troubleshooting suggestions and nothing helped. Returned the unit and very disappointed. Would not recommend it.

    Perfect Humidifer

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - March 23, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first Humidifer and at first it was a challenge to know which one to get. Some peoole say warm mist, some say cool mist. This cool mist unit is perfect. The 1.5 gallons never seems to keep full long enough but it is the perfect size, any bigger might be too big. I love the little area to put some essential oils in but I wish I could make my own replacement pad for the one that is in the slot. Overall a quiet, well working unit and I would recommend.

    Doesn't Produce Mist

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - October 9, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had seen very good reviews for this product, but after a couple of weeks of screwing with the Pure Guardian, it just didn't produce any mist. I tried placing it on different surfaces, different locations, no difference. I hope I can return it time for a refund - I should have gotten the Vornado but they were out of stock - it's here now so I may just have to eat another $90 but worth it in the dead of winter.

    No filter needed!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - February 4, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a humidifier to use at bedtime as the air is dry in the house in the winter. I was happy to see that you don't need a filter to use. Easy to fill with water. Used only at night and can go up to three nights without refilling. The indicator light is really bright and had to cover up with tape to reduce brightness. Has a night light feature as well which I do not need. Otherwise works very well.

    Not worth it

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - August 13, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lasted 3 months. I only use purified water and will no longer create mist. Not a fan that the tank is not removable. You have to fill from the top. Be careful mold will build up under the middle tube. I have another Pure Guardian humidifier and it has been flawless for over the last year. It is a completely different design and clearly build better. Avoid this model.
