RCA remote
- September 23, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before purchasing the remote I went online to RCA to make sure my equipment would work with the remote by entering all the model numbers. They all came back as compatible. I had selected this remote no because of price but for its big buttons to make it easier for my mother to see and use. I was able to program the dvd/vcr but not the TV from the LR. I then tried the bedroom setup (newer equip) I was able to program the TV but not the DVD. While the remotes may work they didn't work out for us.

Good basic remote, fits hand well
- September 20, 2014[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We cut the cord with cable TV a couple months ago, so out went the cable company's remote. Now we use an outdoor antenna plus a Roku 3 for Netflix and other services. This brought us back to the TV's original remote which was wearing out. We examined a number of alternatives and finally settled on this remote. It took a few tries to get it programmed for our TV but, that done, it works fine. I didn't want a long skinny remote with a couple dozen unneeded buttons to wade through. This remote is, by comparison, short and wide. It lays well in the hand and feels solid. It has the buttons we need for the TV and its built-in DVD player. (The Roku 3 uses an RF remote that's not compatible with this or any other infrared-based remote.) About the only thing missing is our old "info" button which brings up program data for the current TV show. I haven't found any button on the remote that can do this. Oh, well. We'll do without. Other than that, we're quite satisfied.

Good Basic Remote Only
- August 7, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This remote was a bargain and works great for basic needs. No problems with programming for TV, VCR, DVD. However, we needed to add a sound bar which it could not recognize. After researching why we couldn't communicate with the sound bar, we concluded that the remote unit did not have the technology capable of doing so,

Easy To Use
- December 14, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a basic simple and easy to use remote. I like the lightness and feel of the remote. I can use almost the entire pad with my thumb. I had no problem syncing my old Vizio with the codes provided. The price is right. I recommend if your looking for an inexpensive remote. It does its job.

JUNK
- June 19, 2016[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was cheap and that's why I bought. I only wanted to use it to turn the tv on/off and adjust the volume. I could never get it to adjust the volume. So it is worthless to me. I don't even like the way it feels in my hand. The plastic is rougher and flimsy compared to all my other remotes.

It does the job!!!!
- July 15, 2018[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looking for the cheapest of the very cheapest remote I could find for my old TV. I found 4th his remote online for $5.99. I took a huge gamble, will not really. Behold, the remote turns on & off my TV. I can also change the channels. This remote can do it all. This is good enough for me.

IT SUCKED!!!!!!!
- October 22, 2016[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You have to hold down the button at least 10 seconds in order to change the channel, so, if you have Carpul tunnel...GOOD LUCK!!! Try going thru your stations, you'll see pretty quickly how much it sucks! It hurts...BAD! Half the time you have to use 2 hands anyways. Never recommend!

Good universal remote
- February 15, 2019[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This a good value universal remote. Only problem is that the intstructions for programming the remote are VERY poorly written. I’m pretty tech savvy but I had to go to YouTube to figure out the programming. It’s actually very easy to do but go to YouTube, don’t use the instructions.

Great purchase!
- January 30, 2019[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an old TV that was gifted to me, but had no remote. I didn't need anything fancy and this is working out GREAT! Turns the TV on/off, adjusts the volume, changes the inputs and the channels....does everything I need it to do and at an amazing price!

Cheap remote works well with my cheap TV
- November 28, 2012[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This remote actually does everything I need it to, which is something I can't say for many other universal remotes I've used. I needed a cheap remote to control an obscure branded Trutech TV (DW19TT), and this RCA does the job well. It performs every single function - that's incredible, because I've owned $50 remotes that couldn't. My only gripes: 1) It didn't come with batteries (it takes 2 AAA, by the way). 2)It has a red LED that lights up when any button is pressed (as if I don't already know I'm pressing a button). 3)The menu button (in this application, anyway) serves a dual purpose - the "menu" and "code set" functions. It is harmless, really. It brings up the menu, but as long as I navigate with the directional buttons, like it is designed, and don't press any numbers, it does what it is supposed to do and doesn't change the code. All in all, for $5.33, which included tax and shipping, and being a direct replacement to the original Trutech remote without missing any functions, this is the BEST universal remote I've ever owned.
