[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice cable, it suits it's purposes very well! My grandfather has an older sound system (that still works great) that only takes av or optical cables. Since we got him a new tv for christmas that doesn't have av cables he was without good audio for a while. Now he's happy as a clam! My only qualm is it was rather difficult to find, I looked through the same aisle for a good 15 minutes and then decided I wouldn't be able to find it on my own and asked for helm. It took him a good 2 minutes to locate it as this section wasn't as well kept as other parts of the store.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Optical audio is likely the best way to transmit state of the art sound from a video source to an older sound system has hat has optical audio but not HDMI. in this case an LG C9 to an old Yamaha Rv1 with an 8.1 speaker set up. Bass sounds from Netflix and Prime movies are once again shaking the room through a ML woofer and Anthony Gallo Nucleus speakers providing immersive surround sound. The 4’ length is great for connecting the cable box but a little tight for the screen connection so make sure you purchase the right length for your setup. These connected no issues and the packaging was earth friendly (no plastic). Bought two.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased soundbar for my living room TV and because of the various devices connected in my system, I needed a way to connect the TV to the soundbar. If I used HDMI, then my Chromecast connected to the TV would not play sound thru the soundbar. And my soundbar only has 1 HDMI input. But I was able to leave everything plugged into the TV and connect audio back to the soundbar via the TOSLINK. This Rocket Fish optical digital cable was exactly what I needed, and the 4' length was perfect for my setup. I suppose audiophiles may notice a bit of degradation because audio is running via the TOSLINK instead of HDMI, but I can't hear it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the Toslink insert has b=been standardized, many manufacturers have suffered under the assumption that the connection area on the device they are intended for is flat. In many cases it is not. The actual insertion port may be contained in a shallow recessed cavity of its own which may be of any size or dimension. This being the case, the enormous size of the finger collar of the connector is often too large to fit into this nonstandard recess. The solution to this issue would be to make certain that the finger collar scarcely larger in diameter than the standard Toslink insert itself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this set of optical audio cables to connect (on one end) to a sound bar that I purchased over 10 years ago. In those days, the optical audio connection was essentially a square opening. If you examine the Rocketfish connectors, these newer connectors are not perfectly square so that although they will fit nicely with newer connectors, the Rocketfish will not fit snugly with older connectors. I believe that the sound quality of the Rocketfish audio cable was better, but unfortunately the connections on my old sound bar faced downward and the cable would, over time, fall out.

I’ve bought JBL headphone, replaced my car speakers, bought a laptop for my school and most recently bought an Apple Watch SE. Best technology at great prices. I think thats why they are called ‘Best Buy’ and I flirt with that!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this about two years ago for a sleek, one cable connection to a new Sony Bravia A95L that is paired with Apple TV4K, Sonos Arc (Atmos), sub-woofer, and Sonos One (x2). Wanted great movie and other video experiences and got them! Works great, never had a problem.
