What customers are saying

The product is generally well-received as a car phone holder, with users praising its good grip, sturdy construction, and ability to securely hold phones in place. Most find it easy to install and adjust, and it works well for various phone sizes. However, some have reported issues with the suction cup not adhering well, especially in hot weather, causing the holder to fall off. A few users also noted the plastic construction can be fragile and prone to breaking over time. Overall, the product seems to provide good value, but may not be suitable for all car interiors or driving conditions.

Suction Cup Melted and Clamp Broke after 18 Months

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - June 6, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was great for ~18 months, but over the last few months the suction cup has melted. The "goo" melted onto my windshield and dashboard. The clamp also broke... For $10-15 I guess 18 months of life for something I used every day is of some value value, but now I have to buy a new car holder and cleaning supplies...

    It's cheap for a reason.

    Reviewed by YMS_1975 - July 11, 2021

Bought this a couple of days ago. The price was right, so I decided to try it out. The first thing I noticed is the mechanism to open & close the grips (which hold your phone in place) is operated by a cheap spring, inside the plastic. So when you open up the gripping arms, you have to be gentle. The second thing I noticed is the lousy adhesive properties of the suction cup base. I cleaned my dashboard & as soon as I put it on my dash, it fell right now. So I applied some JB Weld epoxy. That kept it in place, but it brought up the cost of this universal cellphone holder by another $13 and change. So....in order to have this work, the true cost is like $34 (ballparking it, excluding taxes). Not worth it.

    Solid phone holder

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - February 12, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Car Holder to hold my new iPhone 11 in my work van. When I initially installed it, it just wasn't doing a very good job staying on the dash (I was using the suchion cup base). After a little bit of coxing I was able to get it stick and it has not come loose since. I also was a bit doubtful that it would stay on the dashboard when I have to use force to separate the two arms to insert or remove the cell phone. To my surprise it actually stays solid to the dash board. This holder is one of the best car holders I have bought to date.

    Works for me!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - September 9, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had hoped to attach this to my dashboard but mine had too much texture and not enough flat space. However, it has attached securely, and worked well low in the center of my windshield so that I can see the driving directions as I drive, without impeding my view. I also use my hands-free speaker system in my car and my husband has reported that this placement provides better clarity and sound quality than any other place I have tried to put the phone (cup holder, passenger seat, center console, etc.)

Improve the Ergonomics of Clamp/ Holding Arms

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - July 21, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This isn't the best car holder for your mobile phone, but it isn't the worst either. The only thing I don't like about it is if you want to gently loosen the grip of the clamping arm to place your phone into it, it's not easy to just do it with one hand. Especially if you are in the middle of driving. And if you pull your phone out of the device, it snaps back really loud. It makes me feel like it'll break after a while if it keeps doing that when you try to remove your phone from it.

    Perfect for the Honda CR-V

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - December 25, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 2016 Honda CR-V has a cut out in the top dash for a small screen which works in conjunction with the radio, nothing of major importance, so this holder fit perfectly in this area to hold my iPhone for navigation. I was concerned because the dash has a pebble texture and my past experience has shown me that these types of holders never work with this type of dash surface. This one does and does it well. I put it on once and never removed it and it has stayed strong throughout Multiple uses. The clamp is tight, very tight so it takes some force to open the jaws which puts twisting forces on the clamp and most clamps of this type would be twisted off the dash, causing you to remount it when you need it most. This one has stayed mounted. I followed the instructions and I’m very happy to own it. Works great.

Not bad, but not everything that's expected

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - September 20, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Likes: It holds most phones securely. Have not had a problem yet. Dislikes: It's supposed to stay on multiple surfaces. Worked for about a week on my dash. Works on the Windshield better but not great. ***note*** i live in a very hot climate and I think that is what has caused the issue with this holder. Works fine at night, but during the day, it falls off any surface I put it on. So for that reason, I gave it a rating of 4 instead of my initial rating of 3.

    Not what I expected

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - April 13, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's Okay for what it's suppose to be - a phone holder. expected the holder part to have a screw where you could adjust the width of the holder once and leave it there. But for this particular model, you have to stretch it out every time and that's a bit inconvenient for me. It takes a bit of effort to stick the base to the surface of your dashboard; else the whole thing just topples over because of the weight of your phone.

    Good phone holder

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - December 2, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have figured it out but not mounted it in my car. Fits my phone (up to 3.5" width) fine; a little hard to open and it can pinch your fingers if you are not careful. Seems to stick pretty permanently to your vehicle. Not a temporary mount; has gummy stuff to attach to surface. Not sure how that will react in the car. There are many other phone holders out there that seem much better and cost less. Look around first.

    Do NOT recommend

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - August 16, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is a piece of junk! When it does stick to the window or dash (for a short time of like 2 minutes before just falling off) it shakes and wobbles so bad its rough to read/follow the GPS directions. I should be able to just glance at the phone to see if I'll need to take a left or right next and I can't do that with this even if I could get it to stick. It's just junk. Do NOT buy.
