  • Easy to install, easy to use.

If you have a XM Radio ready head-unit in your car, or are installing an aftermarket one, this is THE way to enable satellite radio reception. The box contains the tuner (as pictured) as well as the antenna for mounting on the exterior of your vehicle. A few things about installation. Only very generic installation instructions are provided. The antenna is magnetic and easily and firmly attaches to the vehicle roof. Running the antenna cable behind your interior panels is the tricky bit, but there are instructions online for many different makes and models. Once you have the antenna wire run to behind your dash, it's an easy connection to the tuner box and head unit. Don't forget to write down your radio ID (it's printed on the tuner). You will need it to register your radio and activate service.

  • Reception issues.

Replaced a SiriusXm radio that never lost its reception with this unit and I lose signal steady. I am not using their little antenna either. I have the big, ugly mushroom lookin antenna that is designed for big trucks and RV's, and still the recption is poor. I asked Sirius if these units were inferior to the regular radios, and all they would say is that they would send me a new one. No need toif I have to replace it with a radio. The idea is awezome, and everything else works great. Just fix the reception.

The only thing good about this is that it comes with 3months free subscription. Reception is horrible, I can’t listen to a single channel without having signal skips every 1.5 seconds or having to refresh the signal. I hear you can buy mirror tram antennas, yay even more money I have to spend for a 12” godly antenna that needs to be mounted to my motorcycle
