So buying this OEM battery as a second has been extremely satisfying. The battery lasts a long time and a massive improvement over the previous versions. You'll be set for all day.

I’ve used the cheap knock-offs; they'll show 20% remaining one second and go completely dead the next, or worse, they'll swell and get stuck in your battery compartment. The Sony NP-FZ100 is the industry standard for a reason. Here is why it’s the only option that makes sense: Reliability: The power discharge is linear. When the camera says you have 5% left, you actually have 5% left. No sudden shutdowns in the middle of a shot. Stamina: In real-world use on an A7IV or A7R V, I’m getting well over 600 shots. If you’re shooting video, the heat management is significantly better than the "Wasabi" or "Neewer" alternatives.

With genuine Sony batteries, I never worry if my battery will not perform well or that it will possibly damage my camera. Plus I don't have to worry about error messages popping up which I understand can occur when using third-party batteries. The peace of mind for me makes it worth the cost. I bought this as a second battery for my Sony battery grip for all-day shooting at airshows. I prefer buying from Best Buy, knowing it's a genuine Sony product and not a counterfeit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Sony @C7ii camera, having extra batteries is not enough and especially when they are OEM. Always buy OEM products. Not saying that third parties don't work but they can be faulty (just be careful but they do work) and that will definitely damage you camera that you invested. If you have much the extra money to buy OEM then don't think it twice go ahead and buy it.
