Good for a Short Period
- April 9, 2018I purchased these headphone in October of 2017 and by April of 2018 the left earbud had stopped working. I am not the type to write negative reviews so I would like to mention that they worked well and were quite comfortable for the short time that they did fully work. I have talked to friends about these headphones as well as other Sony products and found that they were experiencing similar issues. Luckily (at least I thought) I had purchased a warranty but the process for replacement is extremely tedious and frustrating. For the price I am disappointed and would rather splurge for better quality and a more manageable warranty procedure.

Great sound but not durable
- October 31, 2017I got these a while back and the sound quality has been great but the thing is falling apart. The wire from the L shape piece is starting to come out and I'm having to keep it taped. It left the wires exposed through the anti-split thing. The part covering the connector fits pretty much any phone even with a case that limits headphone jack size, which is a huge plus because I've had trouble with other brands. Tangling isn't the biggest issue but it can still occurre. Overall these are as good as in-ear headphones will probably get for a while.

These went downhill fast.
- November 6, 2018I bought a pair at the airport. At first the left side went very quiet, I had to adjust sound levels on the computer to 75/25 left/right for it to sound right. Then the right side went lower then the left, and the only way to hear anything was to crank the volume up on every device to the max level. I've stopped using these, 1 month after the purchase, because all the treble is gone and the bass is so overpowering it gives me a headache. The left side is now completely silent. Please give me a refund or replacement Sony. Thanks. Jason

Why change the microphone button?
- August 31, 2017I bought these because I have an older version and I love that (a) the earbuds fit my small ears and (b) it functions like light noise-cancelling headphones. However in the new version, the microphone button does not allow me to change the volume, given that I have an iphone. I do see that if I had an Android I could install an app to get that functionality. But... why would you make a customer install an app to get extremely basic functionality????? I would expect all headphones by now to have a microphone and a volume button! I am very very very very disappointed in this design decision and now I have to go find new headphones, probably from a different brand.

Great for what they are
- June 27, 2020I’ve had them for about 2 years now and I’ve used them with my laptop and phone, but about a month after I got them, I got a pair of wh1000xm3s, so they don’t see too much usage, I usually wear them when the headphones take up too much space and compared to the headphones, the sound is a little airy if that makes any sense and the bass isn’t as heavy but otherwise they make a good alternative and replacement if the headphones die.

Great sound, comfortable and affordable
- March 2, 2018Pros: light weight, nice bass, noise isolating buds, clear sounding, super easy to untangle cons: none You guys have no idea how much I love these headphones. Ive tried other brands but they can never match the sound quality and comfort of the 15ap. They're so comfortable I can wear them all day and not even notice them. Other brands would leave my ears sore. They don't hurt your ears when you accidently yank them out. Im not going to lie I tend to be aggressive with my earphones when pulling them out of my pocket so I always end up losing the silicone tips. So if you could please start selling replacement tips and or send me a couple hundred size small my way that be great lol

Very DURABLE
- September 17, 2016[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these thinking these head phones werent going to last, huh, i was mistaken!!! This is my second pair and i bought them exactly one year aftet i bought the first one as a backup. Yes, i do still have the first pair and yes they still work. They handled being pulled out of the socket, washed in the washer machine, twice, Haha they have even survived alot of ear sweat and the cord has been pulled on, out and things hung from it a BUNCH of times and they still work. Writing a review for these inexpensive hard wired Sony ex headphones was easy. Dont believe me, try them. The only down side is those soft plugs that go in the ear, they come off and can be lost. Believe me, daa da trueff

Works well, sound is fine, could be more durable
- October 25, 2014[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfectly adequate and a good value. I'm not wild about the fact that the earbuds are ear-specfic. I like to be able to just put them in without making sure I've paid attention to the tiny L and R on each bud. Some perfectly good earbuds work in either ear. I had Skullcandy ones that were comfortable in either. I do also worry about general flimsiness, but I suppose that comes with the territory. I wear mine while exercising and would like something tougher. Someday, some manufacturer will make earbuds designed to last forever. That company will then have no repeat customers and go out of business.

very good until they broke
- May 21, 2015I got these earbuds three months ago and I use them like 2-4 hours per day. I was really happy to be using these Sony earbuds because they match with the two late 80's discmans I got and the sound was incredibly good! These aren't the bass line earbuds, but they got very good bass and the wire is one of the best I've ever seen. Unfortunately, Last week, the right speaker suddenly started to sound like whispering and it's super low. Also a friend of mine has the same problem with these same earbuds, but on both sides. I hope you guys fix this problem on future models, thank you very much.

Good sound quality for price but no remote volume
- May 17, 2014[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound quality is good for the price, a lot better than the headphones that came with my ipod. I use this mainly while biking and using the two fast clicks to advance to the next song and three fast clicks on my ipod headphones never worked and this function works great when biking. There is no remote volume control on the cord and I hate that it is missing that feature since it is convenient to have when moving on a bike. If it didn't lack this feature I would give it a five star rating. Has a great cord length. I can put the ipod in a pocket in shorts and the cord is long enough.
