[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From my experience with external hard drives with Xbox one and PlayStation 4 I’ve been able to save any type of game and use it instantly from the hard drive. Come to find out with this hard drive attached to a PlayStation 5 you are unable to save PlayStation 5 games to the hard drive but only then save and copy back to your PlayStation 5 original storage unit to play again which in my opiniom is stuipd id want a hard drive to hold everything to be available to me instantly. This will be returned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really glad I found this on sale! Totally worth the price investment. I've loaded up nearly 100 games on to the drive so far and barely used half the storage total (still 2.4 TB free). Transferring between WD-Black and the XSX main SSD are solidly in the right timeframe to not be an issue. I keep my primary games that I play everyday on the SSD and hold the HDD for overflow storage and move back and forth as needed instead of needing to re-download. Overall great deal, so go for it!

I mainly use it to store my entire retro game collection, and it handles everything quickly and efficiently. The transfer speeds are solid, and I’ve had no performance issues, even with larger files. I also occasionally plug it into my Xbox, and it works flawlessly there too—reliable and quick to load. The compact design makes it easy to store or carry around, and the build quality feels sturdy. It’s a dependable drive that does exactly what I need it to do. Highly recommended for anyone needing lots of storage for games or media.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this little storage harddrive, idk why but i think they are so fascinating and convienent, you can store tons of stuff on them and take them with you wherever you go and edit them on any computer or phone, and this one looks awesome. Mobile secure data, clandestine spy age stuff thats like becoming extinct due to new texhnology and things such as micro sd cards, but these MD Black storages have their own little nooks and survive on, can transport them and use them to play on any xbox or ps4, taking your whole game library to any of uour friends house without all the weighted hassle. Awesome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my ps4 although my ps4 has 1 TB, I didn't want to worry about having enough space for games or updates which are getting pretty big. I was suprised at how easy it was to set up it literally was just taking it out the box plugging it into the ps4 and moving all my games into it and making it my default storage place so anytime I buy new games it goes straight there. I've had it for a little over a month and its worked great except for getting a little warm like other reviews stated. For now I am happy with my purchase but if anything changes ill come back and update my review.

It can be a bit slow at times but what did you expect from a 5400 RPM HDD? I could fit my current Steam library on this drive (1.5 TB) and still have room for more games. Here's my benchmark test if anyone's interested.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for my PS5. On the box it states that it is compatible with PS5, however, it cannot store PS5 games. It will hold your PS4 backward compatible games. Waste of money, unfortunately i bought this before I deployed and didn't test it out. Looks like i have an expensive paper weight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this was Fast, but at only 140mbps, it's not lighting fast.. It might be so some but a 3.76GB 4k video takes 90 seconds to download or transfer. It's compact and will do the job, but if you want Faster results, you gotta pay $700+.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Usually purchase the My Passport drive, was out of stock so I chose this one. Seems faster, maybe only because I expected it to be so. WD always gets the job done. Not sure if it's worth the extra $30, but I was lucky to get it on sale.
