BUYER beware. There is common issue with this fridge and it is not repairable. A lot of the reviews that you will find is the fridge will stop cooling. This is a common problem with this fridge where you will encounter the refrigeration will leak through time. The biggest problem is the leak happens inside the fridge where any technician would not have access to repair the leak. Eventually making it un repairable. Your next step would be to throw it out and buy a new fridge. Don’t waste your money on this fridge as you will expect to shell out money again to buy a new fridge because there is no way to fix that problem.

The home builder provided this new with our new home. This and the matchong freezer are poor quality. This refrigerator is 3.5 years old and is unable to keep the temperature even throughout the interior. The produce and meat drawers are freezing and ruining our food. Conversely, our GE Cafe series, 10 years old and in our garage, still functions fine. This Whirlpool was customized to be a side by side with the matching freezer. As built ins go it much shorter then the other brands, thus looks odd. The matching freezer (WSZ57L18DM03) had to have door replaced after one year because it could not hold temperature and had to have the thermometer replaced, as well as the freon. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this refrigerator or the matching freezer. Any repairs we are doing at this point is throwing good money after bad money.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Only bought this unit because the original installed in Mar '15 completely quit after three years of service repairs and food spoilage. And since refrigerators are no longer standard industry sizes and we have the matching freezer unit built in, we didn't have another choice without major kitchen renovations. Somewhat disgusting that this unit which is currently being stored in our garage is going to end up in a landfill at four years old.

I have the side kick fridge and freezer and it came in my home when I bought it . Whirlpool This is absolutely the WORST product I have ever dealt with. I am beyond frustrated and completely disappointed. I have gone through TWO of these freezers and THREE refrigerators, and I have had the evaporators repaired at least SIX times. That is completely unacceptable. These fridges are nothing but junk. I would NEVER recommend this brand to anyone, and I will never purchase another one again. And now, once again, my evaporator is out and I’m stuck dealing with yet another repair. This is ridiculous. No customer should have to go through this over and over again. Enough is enough.

This refrigerator has been replaced twice! It only lasts 2-3 years before the compressor fails. I have no choice but to buy another one because I have the matching freezer. Don’t bother with an extended warranty either because they won’t cover it and you’ll be out more money. I’ve been without a fridge for two months now. It was 3 months last time it broke.

Since the cut-out was of a custom size plus it matches the freezer, I was not able to go with a different unit. These units are great looking, very functional and efficient with shelf space etc. The reason for only giving it 3 stars is because my old (same model) unit failed after about 7 years. I had it completely rebuilt at the 7 year mark (new condenser and compressor) only to have the condenser fail (leaked) just out of the one year warranty. I wasn't happy about that given the investment I made between buying new plus repair cost.

We love the refrigerator it has so much room and keeps the beverages cold. It was a little pricier than the white version they have but the white version was not available. Still worth the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We ordered 2 of these. The first one we unpacked and plugged in. All looked and sounded good. The 2nd one not so good. The seal on the door is all messed up and when we plugged it in it has a clicking noise. You would think that someone would have noticed this noise when they plugged it in to make sure it did work. You would also think they wouldn't ship a freezer with a seal that looks like this in the pic I attached. I can't attach video of clicking sound cause I didn't add it to you tube. It reminds me a card being stuck in a bike wheel making a clicking noise as it turns.

We bought a brand new modular home that came with this model refrigerator. Within the first year evaporator went bad. Took 4 months to finally get them to replace refrigerator with a new one. 2 1/2 yrs later refrigerator went bad again!
