The U5 Wireless Audio for Video System is a dual-channel, true-diversity, high-fidelity system for sending wireless audio from a lavalier microphone to a DSLR/video camera. The U5's dual-channel receiver can receive audio from two transmitters simultaneously, making it perfect for interviews and any situations where two people are talking on-camera. The U5 system reliably transmits high-resolution audio on the 2.4 GHz wireless band, and can be used for video shoots, livestreams, interviews, webinars, weddings and more.
The U5 system transmits 24-bit, 48 kHz wireless audio on the 2.4 GHz band, and the system's true diversity design makes the signal very stable over a range of 100 feet. If you shoot videos with two speaking subjects on-camera, the U5T2 package doubles up on the transmitters and microphones. Instead of sending a lavalier microphone signal wirelessly, you can also connect the U5 Transmitter to another mono audio source such as a mixer or audio player, using the 3.5 mm (1/8") line in. Similarly, instead of connecting to a DSLR or video camera, the receiver can send its signal to an audio device such as a mixer or recorder.
The U5T2 package includes two transmitters, one receiver, two Xvive LV1 lavalier microphones, mic clips, windscreens, batteries, cables and a carrying pouch. The batteries are rechargeable and replaceable, so you can recharge them using any 5V USB power source, and you can also carry backups with you on long shoots.
